Chapter 20: Mrs.Orlando

Skip to school the next day
Annie's POV:
I left the house with my phone in hand. I scrolled through my Instagram feed. Nothing interesting was going on. I turned off my phone and continued walking to school. By the time I arrived home room started in ten minutes. I thought I'd go look for Jayden in my spare time. I found her at her locker on her phone
Annie: hey jay!
Jayden: hey Anns! Where's John?
Annie: you looking for your boyfriend?
Jayden: I don't like him like that
Annie: ok Mrs.Orlando
Jayden: you know I have an option to walk away right?
Annie: fine
Jayden: so where is he?
Annie: we got into a fight and we aren't on speaking terms currently. No big deal
I shrugged. Jayden raised her eye brows which confused me
Jayden: Annie Leblanc and Johnny Orlando got into a fight?
Annie: shocker, I know. I was surprised too. Last time we had a serious fight was so long ago I can't even remember
Jayden: so this isn't one of those little bullshit fights?
Annie: sadly not
Jayden: damn. What did you do?
Annie: well he-what did I do?
Jayden: yeah
Annie: I swear when you have a crush no one is safe
Jayden: what do you mean?
Annie: well first of all your trying to blame me for this fight when you don't even know what happened and two your breaking girl code. Your letting a crush on a stupid guy get in the way of our friendship
Jayden: I'll have you know he's not just a "stupid guy." He's actually really smart
Annie: you know what I mean Jay. Another thing you do is defend him
Jayden: well what's wrong with defending Johnny?
Annie: because he's a dick Jay!
Jayden: what on earth did he do to deserve that title? Was this fight that bad?
Annie: yes, yes it was!
Jayden: well do you want to tell me about it so I stop blaming you for it
Annie: sure...so he was fighting with Asher and-
I realized that Jayden doesn't know about Johnny and Asher being related. I froze for a good ten seconds
Jayden: Annie?
Annie: sorry I-um...zoned out
Jayden: ok? So you were saying?
Annie: oh right...well for some reason Asher and Johnny are in an argument as well. I tried telling them that they are practically like brothers and they shouldn't be fighting like that. That's when John told me that I wouldn't know what's its like because my brother is...yeah...
Jayden: oh my-that's-I-
Annie: speechless? So was I
Jayden: I'm sorry Anns
Annie: it's fine...I'll be ok
Just then the bell rang signally us to get to our home rooms
Annie: I'll cya later Jay
Jayden: cya Anns. And I'm sorry
Annie: it's ok...
I said as I began walking away
