Chapter 13: Sleeping Together

Asher's POV:
Johnny and Meredith seemed to have a pretty big blow up last night. Is it always like this in this family? I hope not. I went downstairs and didn't see Meredith anywhere. She must still be asleep. I went to Johnny's room to check up on him. His room door was closed so I opened it and peaked through the small crack. I'm his brother...siblings do that...I think. I cracked his door open a little more and I was able to see Johnny who was sleeping, but he wasn't alone. There was another figure next to him. I peaked my head into the room a little more and saw that he was sleeping with Annie. How did she get here? I didn't hear the front door. I thought she said they weren't dating. Are the dating? To me it looks a lot like their in that kind of relationship. Annie's head was on his chest along with her left hand as Johnny had his arms wrapped around her. I closed the door to his room and for some reason I was angry. Why? He's sleeping with a girl. Why am I angry? There's no reason to-shit! Do I like Annie? I turned around to head back to my room and saw Meredith standing behind me
Asher: Jesus!
Meredith: Asher, what are you doing at Johns door?
Asher: n-nothing
Meredith: Ash-
Asher: it's a brother thing
Meredith: were you spying on him?
Asher: I mean...technically, but I just wanted to check up on him
Meredith: well...at least you had good intentions...so is he sleeping?
Meredith went to reopen Johnny's door. I tried stopping her, but she ended up opening the door. She saw the figure next to John and I saw the confused look on her face. It took her a second, but she soon realized the figure was Annie
Meredith: o-oh
She closed the door to the room slowly and carefully.
Meredith: those two are absolutely adorable, don't you think?
Asher: I mean...I-I guess
Meredith: I wonder when Annie got here. She must have came in through the balcony either this morning or last night
Asher: ...your not mad that a girl snuck into your sons room?
Meredith: I really cant because this is a regular thing
Asher: this happens a lot?
Meredith: all the time
I pressed my lips together. What the fuck is going on with me? I've never felt this way before
Meredith: well let's leave them alone...I'm gonna go call her mom to let her know she's here
Meredith grabbed her phone out of her pocket and walked down the stairs to call Annie's mom. I continued looking at the closed door in front of me. Am I really jealous of my brother? Woah...that sounds weird. I turned away from the door and began walking down the stairs.
Annie's POV:
I woke up with my hand and head on Johns chest as I was in his arms. I moved around a bit and reached for my phone. I had five messages from my mom and one message from Hayley

Mom💝
Are you on your way home?
Mom💝
Where are you!?!?
Mom💝
Annie answer me!
Mom💝
Are you at least safe at Johns house?
Mom💝
Never mind I tracked you on the tracking app. Good night

Mom told me your sleeping at your bfs house 😘💘

I rolled my eyes as I read Hayleys message. I decided to scroll through Instagram while I wait for John to wake up. I carefully moved closer to Johnny and I readjusted my head on his chest. I tried to move as carefully as possible because I didn't want to wake him up. He just seemed to be so peaceful. After I scrolled through Instagram for about five minutes Johnny began to move around. His eyes began to flutter. He opened his eyes and rubbed them as he groaned
Annie: hi
I spoke in a soft tone. Johnny looked down at me with a smile
Johnny: hi
Johnny's voice was very hoarse. He took his hands away from his eyes and wrapped his arms around me once again. I turned my phone off and set it aside. I looked up at him as his eyes connected with mine
Johnny: thanks for being here for me Juls...I love you for that
Annie: I love you too...I'd do anything for you...
Johnny and I both sat up and stretched
Johnny: so you wanna go get breakfast?
Annie: I should probably get home...your mom doesn't even know I'm here
Johnny: please...I don't want to have to face her alone
Johnny gave me puppy dog eyes. How am I supposed to say no?
Annie: ok...but after that I should really go
Johnny: yay!
Johnny grabbed my hand and we ran down the stairs to the kitchen. Meredith and Asher were both sitting at the island talking to each other
Meredith: hey Annie
Annie: hey Meredith
Meredith: I didn't notice you were here...you must have been as quite as mouse when you came in
Annie: oh...ummm-yeah
Meredith: well John I'd like to talk with you later on if that's ok with you
Johnny: y-yeah...that's fine
Meredith: ok...
Johnny dragged me over to the other side of the island and grabbed the cereal.
Asher: hey Annie...
I turned to Asher who seemed to be upset
Annie: hey...
Johnny turned around and I saw that he made eye contact with Asher. Asher seemed to be giving John the death stare. Am I in the middle of some type of sibling rivalry? They've only known each other for a day and they already have sibling rivalry? Shit. After the two had a staring contest as if they were five year olds, I spoke out
Annie: umm...Imma g-go to the bathroom
