Sometimes when I dream it's not cryptic and scary. Sometimes it's nice and cutesy and makes me forget the problems of the day before. Sometimes I even remember them long enough to make it all the way down to the kitchen and pass Mirio without realizing he's there, making me scream and throw the jug of milk at him when he called out to me.

Thankfully my aim was way off, and the milk exploded against a little Sakura and the wall instead of my keeper. "Holy shit. I'm sorry June, I thought you'd seen me."

I grabbed onto my chest and relaxed against the fridge, reeling from the shock I'd just endured, "Nah, I didn't. It's all good though. What's up? What's going down? How's the happs?"

"Uh, not really sure what that means. But anyway, how are you feeling? I know yesterday was kinda rough, and you kinda stayed in your room the entire night."

I stood up a bit and closed the fridge, remembering the events of the past two days. I scratched my wing and turned away from him, headed for the walk-in fridge to get more milk, "Yeah, I'm fine. Just wanted some space's all."

"Oh, ok. That's fine." He stood at the kitchen island while I called for help and grabbed some rags from under the sink. After a moment he sank down to meet me and grabbed a spare rag from the ground. "Did you still want space?"

"Huh? Oh, no, you're all good. I didn't want space from you particularly, just my brother and the situation. I still think I'd prefer if you stayed in the guest wing for now, but you can come to play in the game room if that was what you meant."

"No, I was gonna ask if you wanted to go out with me." I lifted my head and gave him a confused look, "To get food, I meant to get food."

"Oh. Why don't we just eat here?"

"Well, I may have dismissed the kitchen staff for the rest of their shift."

"Oh, so you orchestrated this to get me to say yes?" I stood and handed the rag to Masaya as he shooed me from the mess, turning back to the bold boy behind me.

"Is that bad?"

"No, but you could've just said please."

He tilted his head to the side and gave me one of the brightest smiles I'd ever seen, "Please go to lunch with me?" I rolled my eyes and told him I'd be back down in a few minutes so we could go. We decided on a cute cafe he'd tried on the outskirts of town. It was normally pretty slow this early, so he figured it'd be safe to go there. We were seated and ordered, and the server quickly brought us our drinks.

Mirio's eyes were glued to his latte as he spoke, "So, you're in love with Aizawa?"

I looked over to him and wondered what I would have seen if his eyes had met mine, "I'm not sure. I might love him. Or, I might love the idea of being in love, and he was just the bastard that was around when my brain decided it was ready. I haven't really had much of a chance to sort out my thoughts on it."

"Okay, well if you're not sure then why not discuss it?"

"With you?"

He shrugged his shoulder and stirred his drink, "Why not?"

"Yeah?" I waited for an objection, a sign that he didn't really want me to do that, but all I got was a shrug and a nod of confirmation. "Sure, why not. Alright, so let's say I love Aizawa. That's great and all, but is that a good thing? Sure, he's kind, attentive, intuitive, and all that other good stuff, but with the way his life is set up currently I'm not so sure I would want to be a part of it. He's got two full-time jobs, so he's always running on a tight schedule. One of them is being a hero, which statistically means he'll die in the next ten years. The other is being a teacher, which is a noble profession, but with over one hundred and fifty expulsions I'm not so sure he's going at it the right way. And if he treats kids like that, whether or not he cares for them, I'm not so sure I'd wanna procreate with him."
