Once home, the first stop was the kitchen. I asked the kitchen staff for four to-go meals, sealed well, as well as something for me to eat while driving. The next stop was my wing to throw some clothes and toiletries in a backpack and see Miso. Afterward, I headed downstairs to grab the food as Aizawa walked in the door. I stopped in my tracks and felt a smile crawl across my face before I could stop it. "Hey, ready to go?"
His lips turned upwards, "Yeah, my stuff is in the car. Can I see Isamu before we go?"
"Of course, he's up in my wing with Miso. I'll start putting things in the van. Do you remember the code and where everything is?"
He moved towards the stairs while calling back to me, "Yeah, I think so. I'll be right there." I picked up my bag and the food bag and headed towards the garage. Once in the van and ready to go, I decided it was a good idea to dig into the burrito the kitchen staff packed for me. Four bites in Aizawa entered and made a face at me through the window before asking if he got one. I shrugged back at him and mumbled about there being food in the bag for him. He climbed into the passenger seat and threw his bag in the back before opening up the insulated bag and digging around for whatever he wanted. "Why is there so much?"
"There's food for both of us to eat twice. I'm not sure when we're gonna be able to catch a flight and I prefer my staff's food to airport food. Personally."
"Yeah, but how often do you think I eat?"
"I have to eat often if we're gonna leave for Miyazaki in two weeks. I have to get back up to my normal weight, and I don't like eating alone." His giggle made my heart hurt, and I couldn't stop thinking about him sleeping during the test. I tried to brush the thought from my mind as we headed out, but I had a feeling it was going to be a long ride.
We made it to the airport with only one stop to get gas. We bought tickets, waited for our plane, and hopped on. Aizawa had never been in first class and was astounded by how nice it was. I'm considered an over sized person, so I get nice big seats, and I can purchase others with mine. Our little cabin came with drinks and a big touch screen to select our movie on. We were offered snacks that Aizawa turned down, but I accepted. He asked to try some of the stranger of the cheeses presented to us, and ate right from my hands when I offered a piece to him. I tried not to get pink, but I'm sure I failed when he smiled at me. We exited the plane, got a cab, and headed to the place Laz had dropped a pin at. Sure enough, there was nobody around who was able to help us, so we called Laz to see where he was. I pulled out my phone and punched in Laz's number. "Hey, Junie Balloonie. What's the happs?"
I surveyed the area for a good place to sit and wait for him, "Hey, we're here to get you."
"Where to get me?"
I walked towards a large bench, "Your last pin, what do you mean where? We're here to take you to my house, remember?"
"Oh, shit. I guess you did say that, huh. Fuck."
I was surely screaming again, glad that only Aizawa was there to watch me break down, "What do you mean shit fuck?! Tell me you fucking left and have no clue where you are. I swear on my life I will find you and bury you alive."
"Yeah, that's cool and all, but like, I'm still lost."
"Fine motherfucker, show me where you are when you can." I ended the call and looked around once more. There were multiple chairs and benches laid out around the park, and I decided the one under the pagoda looked the least covered in snow.
Aizawa plopped down next to me and rubbed soothing circles onto my back, "Listen, He's a pro. Maybe a bit distracted, but still a pro. He's been through worse. He'll be okay until we find him."
