Ben Solo Lives | a Reylo story (Star Wars)

Chapter 1

After being thrown into the abyss during the fight against Palpatine in Exogol, I was barely hanging on. I try and get my grip and started climbing up slowly while I was in serious pain. I heard Palpatine and Rey fight it out while i was no where in sight. I used the rest of my strength to keep going and help Rey.

Soon I hear the screeches of pain and suddenly I can feel the whole planet shaking. Rocks started falling down hitting Palpatine's minions and destroying everything in it's path. I hang on to the side for dear life, in fear that I might fall and never to be seen again. Suddenly, the only sound I hear are the sounds of ships flying past us above.

I finally make it back to the top to see Rey on the ground lifeless. I quickly go towards her trying to ignore the pain I feel in my legs and arms. I grab her limp body and look at her face. A tear goes down my face while I pull her into me. Why did it have to be her? She was the only one who actually ever loved me for me and who I could trust. I dig my head into her neck and sob.

Wait, I could try and use the force and heal her just like how she did when she healed my stab wound. I quickly lay her on my arms and put my hand on her heart. I take some deep breaths and focus on using the force. after a few seconds, which felt like an hour, I feel something on my hand. I open my eyes and I see her beautiful face staring right at me.

"Ben" she says while looking at me and placing her delicate hand on my face. I look at her eyes and look her up and down and she does the same. I don't know if it was the force or just a urge but she placed her lips on mine and for once I felt happy. Once we stopped we both laughed and for the first time in years, I smiled.

"We did it." Rey says while hugging me. "Yeah we finally did. And you brought me back. You brought the old Ben back." I say while having tears roll down my eyes. "I knew you still had it in you. You just needed someone to show you what love feels like" she looks back at me crying as well.

We quickly get up and go straight to our ships. I put my arm around hers for support, since my leg seems to be broken. Instead of taking my ship since its an old TIE fighter and they might think I'm still Kylo Ren. We both try and fit into her very small X-wing fighter and quickly get away from this foolish planet.

We soon make it to the resistance's base. It was perfectly lush with green all around. There were tons of different spacecrafts that was just used in battle. So many people were celebrating with hugging everyone and just laughing and smiling.

The top of the X-wing went up and all eyes were on us. My heart quickly sinks and I look at Rey wishing I could really avoid this very awkward situation. "Guys it's ok. It's just me and Ben" Rey says and looks at me whiling smiling. Still getting weird and mean looks everyone continues with their celebration and we are finally able to get out. Rey finds her two friends who I still really don't know who they are. One of Rey's friends comes up to me and puts out one of his hands.

"Hey look, I know we got off on the wrong foot but let me introduce myself, I'm Poe." I look at him and take his hand "Ben" I said trying to keep it short. The other guy keeps giving me a really bad look.

Soon I was given a "Special tour" from Rey of the base and at the end she finally brought me to my mother.

She was covered with a white sheet over her and I couldn't help but start to cry. "She always believed in you. She knew you would become you again." Rey says while hugging me and rubbing my back. We stay like that for a few minutes until we heard someone come into the room.

"Hey Rey- oh" One of Rey's friend came in. He looked at Rey then he just kept staring at me. "Oh hey finn. Do you need anything?" Rey says looking like there is nothing wrong. "can I talk to you for a second please" Finn, I guess that's his name, asks while not breaking eye contact with me.

They leave and go into the hallway while I was left looking at my dead mother. All of a sudden she vanishes into thin air from the force and calming wave goes over me and I finally feel relieved and loved. I stare out of the window and wait for Rey and her friend to return. I look at all of the color around and I realized I haven't appreciated color in a while.

Seconds turn into minutes and minutes turned into longer minutes and I started to become impatient. I look out the little window of the door to see them fighting and yelling at each other. Finally, Finn stomps away and Rey is left in her thoughts. I quickly get away from the door and back to the big window. I hear the door open and footsteps coming closer to me. I look to my side to see her standing next to me looking out. I didn't want to intrude in her thoughts so we both just stood there looking at the bright and beautiful colors in front of us.
