One Little Chance

Chapter 13

I've been trying to find the specific disease that Crystal has that I was planning on using, but I can't find it so I'm using this one. It might not make sense, but I don't know what to do. Sorry.</3

Third POV

He stood still in front of the weeping girl. Without any warning, she flung herself to the muscular body. The sobbing noises was all Liam heard. His body was numb and his breathes were getting shorter.

"Why is your Mum in the hospital?" Liam asks the girl.

 "Crystal." Lottie mumbles. 

Soon enough, Liam's tears started to flow down his cheeks. It wasn't easy for him to stay strong in front of the girl, but he had to. 

"We'll go to the hospital then. Where are your sisters?" 

"Hospital w-with my m-mum." Lottie answers as she lets go. She wiped her own tears from her face, but it wasn't able to tame. It kept pouring from her eyes, and she was a mess - emotionally and physically.

Liam took out his phone and rung up Zayn.

"Just get over here to Crystal's house. We're going to the hospital." Liam says before he hung up.

 Liam ran over inside as Zayn and Niall helped Lottie calm down. 

"Where's Crystal Tomlinson?" Liam commands to the nurse at the front desk. 

"Hold on." She replies as she typed her name on the computer. 

"Second floor, down the hall. She's in the fourth room, in intensive care." 

Liam nodded acknowledging as he ran up the stairs. His panting got heavier as he reached the floor. His feet never stopped though. He kept on running until he saw Louis and his mum along with the three little ones. 

"Liam." Louis growls as he got up. 

"Where is she?" Liam pants.

"Liam, she's in the room."

"Why?" Liam replies to Johannah.

She looks over at Louis whose eyes were red and puffy. Actually, everyone's eyes were red and puffy from sobbing. She turns back at Liam who stood confused. 

"She didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?" Liam asks. 

Louis stepped in. "She has cancer Liam."

Liam's jaw dropped as his tears fell fast. 

"No she d-doesn't."

"She has leukemia." she answers. 

Liam's head was in denial. He couldn't believe that she had cancer - leukemia - because there was a lot happening. 

"N-no-"

"She does Liam." Louis snaps. 

"B-but-"

"You never gave her the time to tell you!" he snaps.

Liam's body fell to the ground for his knees were far too weak. Nothing stopped him from sobbing, not even his friends.

"Liam." Niall coos.

"Liam." Zayn coos also as they got on their knees. 

He finally looked up to his heartbroken friends. He shook his head in disbelief. Before he could dip his head again, Louis dropped down next to him.
