(7) Meeting Again

~ Kayla POV ~

It's finally Saturday and I am planning out the whole day. I'm deciding on going to the park and then probably binge watch movies for the rest of the day.

I decide on wearing a 'be your own muse' sweatshirt with black ripped jeans. I throw on my black boots and grab my camera before walking out of my house.

I've been hiding in my room the whole week ever since the situation and it's time I get over it and move on. He probably did already.

I walk around and look at my block. The sun is partially showing and the clouds look beautiful. I decide to take sum pictures of the trees and the sky as I walk.

As I'm walking, I see an older couple holding hands and flirting. So I decide to go and ask for a picture.

"Excuse me but may I take a picture of you guys?" I ask politely.

The old lady smiles and nods her head yes. Her husband smiles and holds her side.

"How would you like us to pose?" The man asks me.

"It doesn't matter to me. This is going to help me become a photographer so just do whatever pose you guys want to." I say. I want to be a photographer after high school so I need to start getting my resume ready.

He smiles and hugs her from behind and pecks her cheek. She giggles and smiles. It was the perfect photo. I take 3 in different positions and they all came out beautiful.

"Okay I got them. Thank you so much for helping me out. Have a wonderful day." I say to the couple.

"No problem sweetie, I hope you become a photographer and a famous one in fact." The lady winks and smiles at me.

I walk away and decide to take a break of taking photos until I go to the park. As soon as I get there, my phone blares The Teen Titans theme song and I automatically know it's Jared.

I pick up the phone and sit down on a bench.

"Hello sir how may I help you?" I mimic in a British accent.

"Hey where are you right now?" He asks with a weird voice.

"I'm at the park. Why did something happen? What did you do to Crystal?"

He laughs.

"I didn't do nothing to her and it's because I have a surprise for you. Just stay there and I'll drop it off in about 5 minutes."

I get confused and scared.

"Jared, what are you up to?" I ask with worry in my voice.

"Nothing. Gotta go. Bye." And then the phone hangs up. I sigh and put my phone in my pocket.

As I'm waiting for the "surprise", I take pictures of the squirrels and the dogs playing in the park. I look at how they turn out and then a shadow casts in front of me.

I look up and see him. What is he doing here? And why is he standing in front of me?

"Hey. Can I sit next to you?" He asks me.

I sigh and scoot over so he can sit. He sits down and complete silence covers us. The only thing you could hear is the wind blowing and the leaves on the trees rubbing against each other. It actually sounds soothing once I think about it.

"So what have you been doing?" He breaks the silence. I scoff and look back at him. Well damn he looks like hell. Dark circles are under his eyes and his choice of clothing screams depressed.

"Why are you here? Wait, please don't tell me Jared sent you here. Ugh, imma kill him."

"Kayla look.."
