~ Kayla POV ~

What the hell is that sound? Someone make it stop? I open my eyes and bright lights blind my eyes. I cover my eyes and groan in pain. Then I hear someone gasp and I instantly knew it was Crystal.
"Kayla? Are you awake or am I dreaming?" I look over and see her getting held by Daniel. Tears were flowing down her face and Daniel looked relieved that I woke up.
I looked around and finally realized that I'm in the hospital. How did I get here? I rub my head a little and Crystal helps me sit up. Literally 5 seconds later, my mom runs in and yells a hallelujah.
"OH MY GOD, THANK YOU GOD! MY BABY IS SAFE!" She screams before hugging my sore body; causing me to hiss in pain. She pulls away and mumbles a sorry. I lightly smile at her.
It was then silence that filled the room. All you heard was that annoying beeping sound and all of us breathing. Daniel decides to break the silence.
"Kayla, I'm so sorry for what happened. It wouldn't have happened if I didn't set him up with her. I didn't know she would do something like that."
Crystal, my mother and I give him the 'what the fuck did you just say' look and he looks scared. I would be too. Crystal moves out of his grasp and looks at him.
"YOU CAUSED THIS?! AND BEHIND MY BACK?!" She screams. My mom sits down and rubs my hand in comfort as we both watch the couple escalate.
"Baby, I didn't know. He was depressed saying how he needed to move on so I wanted to help. I didn't know Emily would do that."
She scoffs and puts her hands in front of her. "Wait, so this wasn't a random girl? This was that fucking slut looking bitch that was planning on hitting on you in the mall!? THAT BITCH?!"
I slowly start to get a headache and I hiss in pain from all of the yelling she was doing. She instantly looks at me and concern fills her face. She realizes why I hissed in pain and pecks my forehead.
"Kayla, I'm going back to the daycare and I'm going to come back with Daisy. I'll be back so then we could take you home." She says before leaving; without Jared of course. He puts his head down in defeat and walks out without saying a word. Just my mother and I are left in the room.
"Sweetie, I want you to come to Miami with me. There's too much drama over here. I don't want you to hurt yourself anymore either." My mom says.
I sigh and shake my head no. "Mom, my home is here. I just can't pack up and leave because there's drama. You were the one that told me to fight my battles and to never give up. From this day forward, I'm going to do better for me and my family."
She smiles and sighs in defeat. She intertwined her hand in mine and I grasped it tightly. Right on cue, a doctor walks in with her clipboard. She looks up at me and smiles.
"Welcome back Kayla. How are you feeling? Any pain throughout your body?" She asks while taking down notes of my heartbeat.
"I feel okay I guess. There's no pain, but I'm slowly starting to get a headache. How long was I in the hospital for?" I ask.
She stops and looks down at me. "You've been here for 3 days. You get discharged today after I check you and make sure that you're able to leave. I'll prescribe some pills for your headaches."
She walks out and my mom sighs in relief. She looks back at me and pecks my forehead. "So what are you going to do when you get home? Do you want me to stay with you for a couple of days?"
