(17) It Makes Sense Now

~ Kayla POV ~

I'm currently taking Crystal and her baby Daisy to her house. When I pulled into her driveway, I took a look of the outside of her house. It's not bad. I get out and I grab my god daughter from the back and carry her inside.

As soon as we got in, I put the baby carrier down and grabbed Daisy out of it and held her. She looks like a combination of Crystal and Jared. She has her mother's hair and beautiful skin complexion. She got her brown eyes from her as well. Hopefully she doesn't turn out cocky as her dad is.

Crystal comes in and sit downs next to me and watches me hold her daughter. Daisy is a happy baby for sure. She smiles brightly at me and grabs my finger and giggles. I smile down at her and I rub her little chubby cheeks.

I look up at Crystal and a tear slides down my cheek. "How? Why? When?" I manage to speak out. She sighs and pats my leg.

"I'm so sorry you had to find out this was. Can I put Daisy to bed so I could explain? It's time for her nap." I nod and hand Daisy to her. She then starts crying and Crystal shh's her and pats her little back.

She carries her upstairs and I just sit there and wait. I look around and I spot a couple of pictures with Crystal and I in them. I smile and I sigh. She comes back downstairs and she sits down next to me. It was silent at first, but then she finally spoke up.

~ Crystal POV (surprise!!!) ~

"After I bled out, I did die. But then I just started to breath again. I couldn't open my eyes, my body was limp, and above all I heard everything and everyone.

Kayla I am so sorry for not coming to you sooner. I needed some time though. Daisy was a rushed baby but she looks completely healthy. The doctor said that since I just woke up from a coma and I had a baby that I needed to stay away from stress and drama.

I never wanted to leave you guys, but I had to do it for my baby. Please don't be mad at me. Please understand why I did what I did. I was only protecting my daughter." After that, we were both a mess. I reached out for her and we both hugged and cried on each other's shoulders.

After at least five minutes, I pulled away and looked at Kayla. She looks a little better from last time I saw her. But that doesn't really count because the last time I've seen her was when I bled out.

She sighs and smiles at me. "Crystal I could never get mad at you and I do understand why you did what you did. I would've done the same thing. Things did get crazy after you died. I found out that my brother was real and my dad and him were in a gang."

I gasp and I cover my mouth. Oh my gosh, I feel so bad now for not coming to her sooner. I grab her hand and I look straight into her eyes.

"Kayla I am so sorry for not coming back sooner. Please forgive me?" I beg. She smiles and tightens the grip on my hands.

"I could never get mad at you for what you did. My beautiful god child is sleeping upstairs right now and I am talking to my fucking best friend who I consider my sister. If anything, I am happy that your alive and healthy." She speaks out.

I smile and I peck her cheek. She sighs and continues with the story. "Jayden was the one that was behind everything. My brother and dad ended up backstabbing us. I shot my brother. Addy moves in with me, and my mom moved to Miami. That's really all you missed."

I smile at her. "You are so brave and strong. That's why you're my mother fucking best friend." I joke and we both laugh. It feels like old times all over again and I love the feeling.

~ Kayla POV ~

"Wait, does Jared know about Daisy?" I ask.

She sighs and puts her head down before shaking it no. I sigh and lift her head up. "Do you want to come over tonight and have all of us reunite? Besides, I'm pretty sure Jared would like to see Daisy."

She chuckles and nods yes. "I'll go get her bag ready and I'll even pack myself a bag. I already know that I'm going to be staying with Jared."
I nod and she heads upstairs.

I pull out my phone and I call Addy. Phone conversation:

A: Hey baby are you okay? You seem to be out longer than usual. Is everything ok? Is someone bothering you?

K: *laughs* No babe I'm fine. I just ran into a friend and I went over her house to catch up with her and fill in on what she missed. Her and her daughter will be coming over so can you tidy up the house a little bit?

A: Yeah baby I got the house. Who is the friend that's coming over?

K: *smirks* You'll have to see. Call Jared and have him come over too. He's going to want to be here for this as well.

A: Okay......... Baby are you sure everything is ok?

K: *chuckles* Yes babe now I gotta go. Love you.

A: Okay baby I love you too. See you in a little bit. *imitates kiss noises

I hang up the phone and smile down. I hear chuckles and giggles. I look up and see Crystal holding the baby carrier and the bags. She has her famous smirk and stares at me. "You guys are so cute it kinda grossed me out. Now let's go before your baby calls you again."

"Oh shush woman and put my god child in the back." I joke with her and all 3 of us start laughing. Gosh, I can already tell tonight is going to be the best night of my life.
