Maybe, I should explain. I haven't really, so here goes. A person got sick with a virus, this person was Patient 07. Everyone thought this was a flu or some other uncontagious sickness. This virus was at first uncontagious, but it mutated into something horrible, which caused the government to quarantine the person.
The sickness spread throughout the body, infecting the Cerebral Cortex of the brain, which plays a very important role in consciousness. When that region of the brain was infected, Patient 07 passed out.
While they were passed out, the virus took hold of the upper region of the brain, resulting in death. Whatever pieces of bacteria didn't die along with parts of the brain, were left behind.
This bacteria allowed the body to function, while the Patient was dead, allowing bits of brain that weren't destroyed to send signals to the body to "wake up". This shows that the virus was very strong.
Waking up wasn't like being brought to life again, this was like being powered up again, but needing an extra "something" to keep going. This meant that Patient 07 went after people, eating main parts of organs and such. Whatever was left rose and did the same thing it's attacker did, eating any species. Meaning animals could be infected also.
If you were just bitten and not fully eaten, you would turn within 14 hours. Other countries that were overseas were infected by people that didn't know they were bit, causing a epidemic. I know this, because for weeks the news broadcasted this, 24 hours a day. All day every day. I still have questions though and I need to have them answered. I won't waste my time finding who has the answers though, because I don't think they're around.
