Connie and I are currently on a date, going to random places thanks to Lion. We've travelled to a mysterious gem island, which I got a bad feeling about, and just walked around the shore.
Our walk was interrupted as we heard a low growl slowly getting more audible as time goes on. Connie hopped on Lion and went in front of me, prepared to protect me from whatever was about to come.
"Stay back, y/n!"
I was feeling a mixed emotion of fear and love. I was afraid of the threat coming out way, but I felt soft knowing that Connie was so keen on protecting me.
Just then, a corrupted gem bursts out of the bushes and roared out a monstrous growl. Connie and Lion lunged at the corrupted gem, Rose's sword held by Connie. My heart was beating fast, afraid of what could happen to Connie. What the hell am I supposed to do when something bad happens?
The gem screeched in pain and a cloud of smoke appeared as it poofed. Connie immediately went over to me, checking for any signs of bruises.
"Are you fine?"
"I should be asking you about that, Connie."
I chuckled as I kissed her cheeks. Connie blushed and held my hand, helping me get on top of Lion. I watched her pick up the gem. Something about her makes me feel safe and content and I guess now I know why. She will always be there to protect me.
Connie hopped on Lion and I held on to her waist.
"We should get this back to the gems. I thought corrupted gems are all gone, but I guess there's some that's still hiding."
She sounds so mature and serious. I guess she's growing up...
"You're right, let's head back."
"Alright, Lion let's go!"
Lion roared, a portal opening. As Lion hops on, we were already at the temple.
"Connie?"
"Yes, y/n?"
Connie got off and held my hand, helping me down as well.
"You're my heroine."
Connie blushed and looked away. I giggled at her and ran off heading towards Steven's house.
"Race you there!"
She snapped out of it and huffed in annoyance.
"Not fair, you had a head start!"
Ok, maybe she's still that childish Connie I know.
