I silently waited by the sea shore for my lover. She's been on a hunt for Malachite, the fusion between Lapis and Jasper. Bottling all that stress and anger can be a threat, especially if it's related to fusion.
The splashing sounds of the waves, the clear blue skies and the ocean breeze gives me sense of comfort. It made me forget all of the threats that could be coming any minute.
My attention drifted to a loud chattering on the distance. I saw Steven and Connie fueling a conversation with the mailman. I approached them and ruffled Steven's mop of curly hair.
"Y/n! You remember Jamie, right?"
That's his name. I tend to forget since he's not really important to me.
"Yes I do." I lied and forced a smile.
"Anyway, please sign." Jamie said as he held out some device.
As Steven wrote something down, a burst of splash erupted from the sea. Steven, Connie and I turned our heads to the source of the noise and from there we saw Garnet rise.
"Hi, Garnet!" Steven greeted.
"Hey, Garnet!" Connie did the same as well.
"Who's Garnet-" The mailman asked as he turned his head.
She started to make her way towards us, her goggles turning back into her visors. Her hips sway from side to side as she took a step, water droplets dripping every second and the atmosphere around me was becoming hot. She stood beside me and dried herself off, her figure shining as she did so.
"Howdy." Garnet greeted back.
"Whatcha up to, Garnet?" Steven innocently asked.
I continued to admire my lover and I think someone was admiring her too. I gave a glare to the mailman, but he was too busy staring at Garnet to notice.
"I was just at the bottom of the ocean checking for signs of Lapis and Jasper."
"Any luck?"
"Nope." Garnet said as she popped the 'p'.
"Wow... How were you able to swim at the bottom of the ocean?" The mailman spoke with adoration.
