A voice from the distance shouts and I turned around. Steven was inside his car and was waving. I ran to his car, got in and quickly buckled myself.

"Hey, my love."

Steven quickly pecked my lips and I smiled at him.

"How was your day, bub?" I asked as Steven began to drive.

"I saved a corrupted gem named Cheryl Quartz. Then I fought Jasper." He said with confidence.

I looked at him like he was crazy. He noticed this and chuckled nervously.

"What?"

"Why would you fight Jasper?" I said with a tint of disappointment.

Steven held my intertwined our hands with his unoccupied hand. His thumb was tracing I've my knuckles which brought some sense of calm over me.

"It was a lesson."

I didn't fully know what he meant, but I decided to stay quiet. I started to admire the scenery that was starting to show. All of the buildings and houses seemed so small, the ocean was glistening under the golden rays of the sun and little Homeschool was glowing with pride.

They've worked so hard to build little Homeschool. Just to give other gems an opportunity to live a better life!

I smiled to myself and continued to look outside. Just then, Steven gently shook my hand and I turned my focus to him.

"Do you want pizza-"

"Of course, I do!" I exclaimed excitedly.

Steven giggled at my child like behavior, which was intentional, and smiled while continuing to drive.

"Alright let's get some, Amethyst would love that."

"Don't you want some of that fancy salad too, veggie boy?" I said in a teasing matter.

Steven just smirked and rolled his eyes.

"You know me so well."
