Chapter Six

"I'm not actually surprised to see Lucas with Jennie, I know his game."

Dylan and Dave are in Lisa's room again, disturbing her and Seulgi from their girls' talk.

"What game, soeur?" Dylan asked in confusion "You think Lucas is not sincere in dating Jennie?"

"I bet, I think he's just doing that to get even with you." Dave added while passing the tennis ball to Dylan who is comfortably sitting down next to him on the sofa

"I know, I don't know why he still holding grudges against me, it's been years, everyone moved on except him." Lisa sighed, hugging her pillow "I just hope that he won't hurt Jennie."

Seulgi shot her best friend a look "Aww, my best friend is so concerned about her future wife."

Seulgi's antics made Dave and Dylan laughed while Lisa just threw the pillow at her.

"So you're stepping up to the game? You're going to pursue Jennie?" Dave asked, still playing the ball with Dylan

"You think I should?" Lisa is not sure yet

"You should. If you think Lucas is just playing his game using Jennie then save her from him. I know that you feel a different way towards Jennie, so go for her." Dylan added

"What if I am wrong? What if Lucas really likes Jennie? I don't want the history to repeat itself, plus what if Jennie doesn't like me? It will never be worth it so." Lisa is stress over the situation "I don't know anymore."

"I sometimes hate how negative you are." Dylan blurted out "Just fight, don't think about Lucas because it was him who wronged you, so stop investing concern in him."

"Dylan has a point, he was the one who snaked your fiancé, you didn't do anything wrong to him." Seulgi supported Lisa's twins

"Forgive me, Lucas but this time I will fight for my own happiness."

Jennie can't sleep, she can't brush Lisa and Seulgi off her mind. She keeps on tossing and turning on her bed.

"Ugh! Lalisa Manoban!" She buried her face against her pillow

She decided to go out of her room, she remembered the minibar next to the kitchen, maybe she's allowed to drink just a little.

But when she reached the mini bar, someone was there already, drinking a glass of wine, looking so lost in her own thoughts.

Jennie stood there for a moment. Looking at Lisa's eyes.

Why do you look so sad and... I don't know.

"Lisa.."

Lisa woke up from her deep thoughts and looked at the lady standing inches away from her "Jennie, can't sleep?"

Jennie sat on the barstool next to Lisa "Yeah, I guess you too."

Lisa served Jennie a glass of wine which the latter accepted with a smile.

They sat there, drinking in complete silence, until...

"Where is your girlfriend?" Jennie suddenly blurted out

"Huh? Girlfriend?" Lisa then snapped her fingers "Nah, Seulgi is not my girlfriend. She's my best friend. Who told you that she's my girlfriend?"

Jennie's face heated up in embarrassment, she sometimes hates herself for assuming so much about things she's seeing "I.. uh well I just thought that she's your girlfriend because you were so sweet back there in the restaurant."

Lisa watched how Jennie blushed, Seulgi was right, Jennie was watching them "So, you're watching us? And why is that?"

Jennie bite her lower lip, this time she can't say why she was looking at them, why she's looking at Seulgi like she wants to murder her.

"No need to answer, I already know why." Lisa smirked

Jennie looked at her frowning "What do you mean?"

Lisa has been drinking for thirty minutes, alcohol has something influencing her actions now. She brought her face one inch away from Jennie's, looking at her in the eyes. Lisa is mentally cursing how this lady in front of her can make her heart wild in a short period of time.

While Jennie can't understand what is happening, all she knows is that she heart is running amok because of how Lisa staring at her eyes.

Their eyes are just staring at each other, seems like they are lock in a trance that fate created for them.

"Let me date you, Jennie Kim." Lisa whispered. "You don't know how I was craving to see you again after our encounter in Seoul." Lisa slowly cupped Jennie's face in her hands "What's with you that makes me crazy? After my heart died years ago, you brought back life to it and it's confusing me because... I don't know if you want to date me or.."

Lisa didn't finish her words when Jennie cut her off by saying "Yes, I will date you."

Lisa smiled, still staring at Jennie's eyes "I will make our work in the ranch fan so that you don't feel like working at all. I will never make you regret dating me."

Jennie smiled also, she can't believe that the serious Lisa can be this so sweet. She was surprised when Lisa brought her lips to her forehead, pressing her soft plump lips against Jennie's forehead making the latter blush.

"Lisa.."

Lisa pulled Jennie into a hug "You don't know how happy you made me. Thank you."

But the image of Lucas crossed Jennie's mind. She said that she will give the man a chance too. She doesn't want the twins to fight over her.

Jennie buried her face in the crook of Lisa's neck, inhaling the fruity scent of Lisa "But Lisa, I also gave chance to Lucas.."

"I know and I understand. Just let your heart decide, I'm not telling you to choose me, take your time." Lisa kissed Jennie's head "Before we go to the ranch tomorrow, let me treat you and your friends coffee then I will tour you around the ranch. The people there will surely love you."

"You will bring Jisoo and Rośe with us?"

"Yeah? They are here for you, I don't want you to leave them while we are there, plus I know you are happy when you are with them."

"But I am also happy when I'm with you."

"Thank you, Lisa. Thank you for staying here just to supervise me, I know that you didn't stay just only because of your brothers but also because of me, tell me I am right."

Lisa lightly laughed "You got me there, yeah, I stayed because of you also."

They stayed in that position for minutes, then Lisa heard soft snores coming from the lady around her arms.

"Aish. You are a sleepy head."
