Chapter Seventeen

Jennie's POV

"Good night, monkey!" I watched as Nayeon blew a flying kiss to Lisa

I made my way where Lisa is standing, I noticed the small fire in front of her. She burned something?

"Hey."

"You should be sleeping, Jenjen." She said as I stood next to her

What are those things she's burning?

"I was looking for you to tell you that Irene's picture is missing." I looked at her, the light coming from the fire illuminating to her eyes

"I was the one who took it, actually." She chuckled "What is it to you if her picture is missing?"

Because that's the picture of the person you love, you stupid.

"Because I know it's important to you. I'm going now, just lock the door." I tiptoed and kissed her cheek "Good night."

She didn't say anything and just let me walk away from her. Great way to break my heart, Lisa. You're so good at this.

I climbed to her bed, crying. This is hopeless, I'm hopeless.

I didn't know that I fell asleep because the next thing I know Lisa is laying beside me, staring at me.

Lisa's POV

"You're doubting me. You're mad at me." I said frankly "I know why and I can't blame you for that." I sat up, crossing my legs "It was a mistake. It was a mistake when you saw me hugging her picture, I didn't mean to. I burned everything that reminds me of her, including the last picture of her that I have. I burned all of it." I sighed, looking down at Jennie while she's looking at my eyes "I don't want you to doubt me. I'm not in love with her anymore, she's now just part of my past but you! You are my present now and I want you too to be my future."

I feel my heart beating so loud and fast, this is it. I'm going to tell her now.

She mimicked my position and rested her head on my shoulder "I understand now and expect me to stay with you here in present and in the future."

I reached for her hand and intertwined with mine "Thank you, Jenjen but there is something I want to tell you." I took a deep breath "I am an intersex."

I closed my eyes tightly. Waiting for her response.

"You mean you have a.."

"Penis." I finished "I know it's weird but yeah."

She slowly removed her hand from mine. I knew it, she won't accept what and who I am.

I looked at her and saw that she's genuinely smiling at me "Thank you for being honest with me." She then hugged me "I accept you, Lisa."

I released a shaky breath "I thought that you'll get.."

"Nah, it's weird but I'm not stupid to judge, you're still Lisa."

Jennie and I talked about things for awhile before we decided to sleep because tomorrow will be more exhausting for us.

"I guess we're here." I got out from my car and run to the other side to open the door for Jennie

She uttered thank you before she closed the door.

"This ranch is smaller than ours but how come it can produce more milk than ours?" Jennie glanced around

"It's because of the rancher." I said

I grasped her hand and walked towards the entrance of the ranch.

"Good day, we're here for Mr. Choi." Jennie said to a cowboy

"May I know who you are? Before I call Mr. Choi."

"I'm Lalisa Manoban and this is Jennie Kim, we're here for make business with Mr. Choi, we made an appointment yesterday." I spoke for us

"Oh, you're the guest he's waiting for. Come with me, I'll bring you to him."

He lead the way for us to Mr. Choi's office. Jennie is right, our ranch is way bigger than this ranch but it's functioning well than ours. But I know that Jennie can run the ranch way better.

"Good day, ladies." Mr. Choi stood from his swivel chair

"Good day, Mr. Choi. Thank you for lending us a little of your precious time." He shook hands with me

"How can I say no to the great Lalisa Manoban?" He laughed "And who is this lovely lady we have here?"

"This is, Jennie Kim. She's the person that my father entrusted to run our ranch."

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Choi." Jennie offered her but Mr. Choi took it and kissed her knuckles

Okay, I don't like that. No one can kiss my Jennie.

Jennie blushed.

"Nice meeting a lovely lady like you, Ms. Kim. Take a seat please." He let go of Jennie's hand and let us sit in front of his table

"So, what brings you here?" Mr. Choi sat, placing his elbows over his table

"We're here to make business, Mr. Choi. About the milking industry." I let Jennie to speak, I know she can do this

"Sorry but I don't do business with rivals." He seriously said "But for you Ms. Kim, I will." He winked

This old man is getting into my nerves. I sighed.

After Mr. Choi continues flirting with Jennie and closing their deal, I immediately pulled Jennie to my car.

"You're quiet. Is there a problem?"

"Everything is good, Jen. I just want to go home." I slightly smiled at her "I'll tell Dylan and Dave to horse back ride with you and your friends later. I want you to have fun while we're here."

"But how about you? Won't you join us?"

My car roared to life and I started to drive home.

"Nayeon and I need something to do."

I can't be around you after you just let that old man to flirt with you. I'm fucking jealous!

No one dared to speak again though Jennie is giving me looks every now and then.

When we arrived at the mansion, Jennie didn't wait for me to open the door for her, she went out and waited for me outside the car.

"Let's talk. We just had a misunderstanding last night, I don't want any drama again." She pulled me inside the mansion straight to our room

"Speak." She sat me on my bed

The authoritative Jennie. I don't like this.

"There is nothing wrong, Jen." I stood up but she pushed me back

"I said, speak. You just let me to speak to that pervert man!"

"But you liked it, don't you?! You were smiling and laughing every time he's flirting with you."

Tears formed to the side of her eyes "You think I liked it? Do you really see me that way? Really, Lisa? You were too focus on your own feelings, you forgot about mine! I stomached all his flirting because he's a client! We need him for the ranch!"

You stupid, Lisa. You made her cry again.

I pulled her hand and made her sit on my lap "I'm sorry. I was jealous. Forgive me." I kissed her temple "Forgive me, love."

She nuzzled her face against my neck "Don't do that again, Lisa."

"I won't do it again." I assured her

I was surprised when she pushed me to the bed.

Oh boy, this is not good.
