Jennie's POV

"You wait for me here, I will be quick." Lisa kissed my forehead before getting out of the car

She insisted to buy something for my parents though it's not really necessary, I think she's also trying to court my parents. A cheesy tactic, Lalisa Manoban.

She's now inside the flower shop, talking to the florist, maybe explaining the arrangement she likes.

I fetched my phone from my handbag to check if the three are already there. Dave texted me that Lucas arrived yesterday night.

"We're already here, your mom is so extra."

Mom already started it, she already showed her festive and joyous attitude to them, I wonder how Lucas is responding to mom.

"I can't disagree with that. How's Lucas?"

Why I am even concern?

"Believe it or not but he's getting pretty along with your mom. Your mom brought back the old joyous Lucas. It's been awhile since the last time I saw him laughing like this."

I was about to text back but a bouquet of white and purple daisies blocked my phone.

"You're too busy there. I've been calling your name for a minute now." Lisa said, quite disappointed

I took the bouquet of my favorite flower from her hand "I'm sorry, I was just texting Dave if they are have arrived. Thank you for this."

She placed the basket of white roses and yellow lilies in the backseat.

"Sure." She plastered a tight smile "We should get going." She then started the ignition

Lisa didn't talk after that, I don't know why though. It is because of what happened earlier?

I turned on the radio to ease the thick atmosphere in the car.

Alexander O'Connor or better known as Rex Orange County's voice rang inside the car, making me somewhat relieved.

Why do I feel like I did something wrong to Lisa? Is it because I was concerned about her twin Lucas? She doesn't even know about it. Why is she acting like this?

🎶 "And I'll be the one that will love you the way I'm supposed to, girl
But will you still love me when nobody wants me around, around?"

"Are we good?"

"We're cool, what makes you think that we're not? Do you feel like we're not okay?" She answered my question with more questions

Bullshit.

"To be honest, I feel like dumb here for feeling this way, you, making me feel this way. You got out the car, went back with a bouquet of flowers then never talked again, what was that?" I ranted "I don't even know if I'm being sensible here but fuck, Lisa! Talk to me! There is a problem, I know there is a problem! Tell me!"

I think this will be our second fight.

"You wanna know the fucking issue here?!" She parked the car in the side of the road "I saw your fucking conversation with Dave! I've been calling your name back there for like forever but you were too busy smiling while ready the text of Dave saying Lucas is getting along well with your mom! That's the fucking problem, Jen! This is not jealousy! This is confusion! You said you fucking love me and yet you're..." Lisa shouted to my face, tears forming in the side of her doe eyes

"I didn't even know that I was smiling." I admitted "I swear, Lisa, I didn't know that I was smiling, believe me." I tried to hold her hands but she swatted my hands

"I believe you, Jen but isn't it bullshit that you can smile like that because of him without him exerting much effort and there is me doing everything just to see you smile; just to see you happy. It's fucking unfair." She repeatedly slammed her fist to the steering wheel

"Yes, I was oblivious that I was smiling but I was just glad that Lucas is making a little improvement, it was you who told me to give Lucas a chance, now he's finally showing his real persona you're going to act like that. There is nothing to worry about, there is nothing to be confused about because..." I slowly reached for her hand and placed it against my chest "You're the one who's in here." Now we're both crying "I'm sorry. You should know the difference of my smile to you and to him." I smiled at her, I made sure to pour all my feelings and emotions to it and to my eyes while looking straight to hers "You see the difference now?"

She closed her eyes for a brief moment and nodded "Promise me that smile only belongs to me."

"I promise, love. People will only see that smile when I'm with you." I leaned forward to her and captured her lips with mine; passionately and hungrily.

We're both panting hard when we pulled away from the kiss with smile on our lips.

"I love you, love." I pressed my forehead against hers

"I love you." She stared at my eyes, making me feel her sincerity through them

Third Person's POV

"Victoria, your daughter is here." Oliver was the one who opened the door for the two "It's been a long time, Lisa."

Lisa bowed to Mr. Kim "Nice to see you again, Mr. Kim."

Jennie kissed her dad's cheek "Missed you, daddy."

"I missed you too, sweetie." He hugged his daughter "Let's go in."

"Jennie, my beautiful daughter." Victoria approached her daughter and gave her a warm welcoming hug

"Hello to you too, mom." Jennie hugged her mom back

Victoria pulled away from the hug and turned her attention to Lisa "You're must be Lisa."

Lisa bowed again "Yes, Mrs. Kim. It's nice to finally meet you."

Victoria plastered a mocking smile when she saw their joined hands "It's nice to finally meet the famous Lisa Manoban. Just call me mom."

Lisa looked at Jennie with a smile before looking back at Victoria "Okay, mom. By the way, this is for you." She gave the basket of flowers

"You told Lisa about my favorite flowers?" Victoria took the basket from Lisa "Thank you, darling."

"I didn't, maybe instinct." Jennie answered

Oliver laughed "Let's go to the kitchen, they are waiting for us there."

Lisa just then remembered that her twins are here, she's too caught up meeting Jennie's parents.

"Soeuuuuur!" Dave and Dylan jumped to their sister

Jennie let go of Lisa's hand and helped her mom rearranging the flowers to a expensive vase.

Lucas remained sitting, not so please at Lisa's arrival.

"Get yourself together, you two. We're not in our house." Lisa removed the two from her

They pulled their sister to the table and made her sit next to them.

"Hey." Lisa acknowledged Lucas' presence

"Lisa." Lucas did too

They should act like a civilized and educated person and set aside the issues between them, just for today and for Jennie.
