Chapter Thirty-five

Third Person's POV

"Are you ready to go?"

"I'm not but I need to. Take care of my son and Irene for me." Lucas zipped his suitcase

"Don't worry about them, dad and our twins will be here to take care of them." She sat on Lucas bed "I can't visit you there."

"Why? Where is Jennie by the way?"

"She left early, the ranch needs her." She sighed "My company needs me too, I'm going back to Paris the day after tomorrow."

"Bring her with you, soeur. It's not everyday that you'll meet a woman like her."

"Bring her with me? That doesn't sound bad at all but she needs to grow without me. My time is up being her mentor and now it's time for her to learn on her own."

"You're kidding right? You have done nothing to help her, she did solve all the problems there on her own." Lucas laughed

"You got me there." She laughed with Lucas "You should marry Irene after you get treated."

"I will and maybe Morgan wants a sibling too." He took a seat next to Lisa "Aren't you planning to propose to Jennie yet?"

"We haven't discussed marriage yet. Do you happen to like her during the time when..."

"I somehow got a crush on her but crush and love are completely different things. Let's have a double wedding soon, father will be happy."

"Sure. I'll convince father to go to the ranch after I leave, the ambiance there is much better for him. He's getting older every day, we should cherish our time with him."

"You're right but how about company?"

"Dave and Dylan will take over while you're gone, I don't want to spoil the news but I heard from father will pass the company to you as soon as you get released."

"Well, that's great news." He tapped Lisa's lap "Double wedding soon?"

"Soon. Come on, Morgan and I have something for you." Lisa stood up and walked out from Lucas room without waiting for the latter

For the first time, Lisa saw Lucas not being interested in the company. Lucas hasn't been in the sanctuary yet but he's already showing some changes.

"How about the livestock?"

"Everything is well, nothing bad came up when you left." Nayeon answered "Will Lisa come here before she flies to Paris?"

Jennie's heart skipped a beat in a bad way. She hasn't been in a long distance relationship before and it scares her a lot.

"No but she wants me to meet her at the airport. You think this will work?"

"What? Your relationship with Lisa?" Nayeon continued to pet Lucas' stallion "Are you scared?"

"Yes, this is my first time." She watched Nayeon run her hand on the stallion's back "What do you think?"

"I can't tell because I haven't been in that kind of situation but you just have to trust my best friend. She's a charmer but not a womanizer." She winked at Jennie "Don't be afraid, Lisa will come to you one day, for now you need to grow and enjoy things on your own and I am sure Lisa also wants that for you."

'Grow and enjoy... can things be enjoyable without Lisa?'

"Have you talked about getting married?"

"Ma... marriage? We haven't." Jennie's heart fluttered "I think Lisa is not ready yet."

"When will she be ready for it? You two weren't getting younger anymore. You should give her hints if you want to get married, my best friend is extremely dense sometimes."

"If I'll give her hints it will look like that I'm desperate for it, right?" She bite her lower lip "I don't want Lisa to think that I'm rushing her."

'Lisa and I have the whole time in our hands, I'm sure we will get there... soon. I hope so."

"Jennieeeeee!"

The two ladies were startled by the sudden shout they heard.

"Oh, your friends are here." Nayeon saw Jisoo and Rose running towards them

"You're right, it's them." Jennie's smile got bigger

"We missed you!" Jisoo and Rose said in unison as they hug Jennie

"Same here, are you with Dylan and Dave?" She pulled away from the hug "Is Lisa with you too?"

Her friends looked at each other before she plastered a sad smile at Jennie "Dylan and Dave are at the house, unpacking out things." Jisoo said

"How about Lisa?"

"Dave said that Lisa needs to settle some things with her investors here in Korea." Rose informed her "You will see her at the airport, don't miss her too much."

"It will be hard for Jennie but she can make it." Nayeon joined their conversation "I'll go now and pester the two." She waved her goodbye

"Let's go for a walk, you two have so many things to tell me." Jennie said

The two agreed to their friend and began to walk.

"They will take Lucas to his sanctuary today." Jisoo started a conversation "I hope he will be okay soon, his son needs him."

"We're all praying for him, Ji." Jennie looked up and saw Lisa's tree house "It must be hard for Lucas to leave his son."

"Indeed but it's for his sake, he can't go around with demons messing around his mind, he could hurt people again." Rose said "Does he have company there in his sanctuary?"

"Soeur, where did you get this cute little creature?" Lucas asked as he picked up the cute brown Pomeranian

Everything is ready for Lucas' departure but not everyone, especially his son. Morgan will definitely cry later.

His driver took his suitcase and put it inside the car's trunk.

"I bought it for you, since you'll need a company there. Father said that they can just visit you once a month. That cute creature as you said will accompany you there."

The dog licked Lucas' face "He likes me. What is his name?"

"His name is Dreamer, daddy. Do you like him?" Morgan is in his mother's arms "Mommy said you like dogs before."

"I liked it, Mo. Did you help Auntie Lisa to choose?" He let go of the dog and gently took Morgan from Irene

"I did, daddy. Autie chose the breed while I chose the color and mommy named him." Morgan said cutely "Take care of yourself there, daddy. Mommy and I will miss you sooooo much."

"I'll miss you too, baby. Take care of your mommy while daddy is away, okay?" He kissed his son's cheek "I think mommy needs to hug daddy, right?"

"I'll leave you now. Just take care of yourself." She gave her twin a side hug before going back to the mansion

"Is this the time where I will hug my future husband?" Irene jokes

"I guess so." He laughed before engulfing Irene in tight embrace "I love you two."

"We love you too, daddy."
