Chapter Eight

Jennie's POV

My mouth hang wide open when I saw hundreds of sheep, cows, and stallions when we reached the ranch.

"I knew it, you'll love it here." Lisa said, glancing at me before the car came to a full stop

"Wooooow!" Jisoo's mouth formed 'o' in amusement

While Rośe is admiring the view in silence, still munching the chips she brought.

"Your friends have the same reaction." Lisa said, getting our bags from the compartment

Two men and a lady approached us with a big welcoming smile.

"Lisa, Dylan, and Dave!" One of the men said, "Welcome back."

"Uncle! Still looking good!" Dave gave the man a quick hug "Hello, Nayeon." He said looking at the lady

The lady kissed the cheeks of the three "I was hoping that you will never go back here because our life is at peace now." She joked

Dylan and Dave scoff.

Nayeon shook hands with us "I'm Nayeon. If these three are giving you a headache just tell me so that I can kick their asses."

I think I finally found someone who can tame these Manobans. Dylan and Dave can't even object to her.

"Uncle, this is Jennie." Lisa introduced me while wrapping her arm around my waist "She will be the one that's going to manage but I'm going to supervise her in the meantime. These are her friends, Jisoo and Rośe."

My heart keeps on beating fast, feeling the warm hand of Lisa cupping my waist. What is this you are doing to me, Lisa? Why do I feel... forget it.

"Hello, ladies. I'm Mr. Im but you can call me uncle and this is Mr. Park but you can call him Uncle Park."

We smiled at them, then they offered to carry our bags which Lisa gave to them.

After the short introduction, we decided to go to the mansion.

"Lisa..." I called her while I'm walking behind her

My friends are glancing around the mansion. Aish, these two, really.

She stopped and faced me "Jennie, you okay?" Lisa asked in concern

I shook my head "Can we take a walk later?" I shyly asked

When I saw how spacious and beautiful the ranch is, I immediately planned to ask Lisa to tour me around.

"Of course. For now, you need to rest, okay?" Lisa softly smiled at me

I nodded "Thank you."

"Lisa, we have a little problem. As you know that there are only six rooms here and the one that Lucas' owned he doesn't want anyone to come there so two of you need to share one room." Mr. Im explained to us when we reached the second floor

Dylan whispered something to Dave and the latter immediately nodded and said "Soeur and Jennie will share, they won't mind."

I bowed my head to hide my reddening face. I'm going to share a room with Lisa?

Lisa released an exhausted sigh, maybe she doesn't want to argue "Let's go, Jen." She held my hand and my heart gone wild again "You two, Dylan and Dave help Rośe and Jisoo with their things."

The two saluted at their sister.

"I can just sleep on the couch if you want." I said while we are walking to Lisa's room."
