* Painted a picture, I thought I drew you well
But it was all in my ...... *
It was all in my head
These feelings, these emotions
Everything that you said, you said without devotion
Contradict my ulterior motive
Misconstrued my true emotions
Misplaced my love and waste it
The flavours you erased it
The sweet what was, I don't taste it
It's like you branded n you refaced it
You the game-changer and you changed it
Reality is shouting out to me
You're not the picture I painted you out to be
I was deluded, it was all a fantasy
It was all in my head.
It was all in my head
I painted the colour of love, the colour red
A series of lucid dreams of me being in your bed
Hallucinations, that's what the doctors said
Mind games, that tore me to shreds, but don't mind me
For I was blinded to the truth
And that's the tea
It was all in my head.
It was all in my head
The love, the affection, all of it
It wasn't real for a sec, not one bit
"I saw your potential without seeing credentials", what a relatable line!
That's exactly what I did with my mind
Finally, I came to the realization
That everything you did, everything you said
It was all in my head.
