Chapter 12: Akuma Switch

Author's note: Hi everyone! Yes I am alive its just that life is crazy. I have not written past this chapter so it will probably take a while to post chapter 13. But I hope you enjoy this chapter. I really enjoyed writing it and I made myself cry. (Maybe you will cry maybe you won't. But just know that I don't cry easily and I was in a good mood going into this and now I'm kinda sad. So grab some tissues. Just in case😊)

Hawkmoth's POV
Mathmatition kept taking control of people while looking for Chloé Bourgeois. Ladybug and Cat Noir were no where to be seen and Mathmatition would not go look for them. I eventually got tired of it:

"Mathmatition! Find Ladybug and Cat Noir and bring me their miraculous or I will take away your powers!!"

"Alright Hawkmoth." she replied.

It is getting harder to find good akuma victims lately. While Mathmatition was looking for Ladybug and Cat Noir, she found Chloé and took control over her. Since she had her revenge and embarrassed Chloé, her anger went down. She's not as powerful anymore. Suddenly, I felt a much stronger emotion. It was an emotion unlike any other. One I had felt before; the feeling of losing someone you love. I thought about Emilie for a second. Then I realized that by akumatizing this person I might just get the miraculous.

"Mathmatition, you have gotten your revenge, now I must go to someone else for you are no use to me anymore."

Before she could say anything, I took her powers from her. I made another akuma and told it to go find the person with this stronger emotion.

Cat Noir's POV
I just sat in the alley and cried. Marinette had died, and it was all my fault. My friend, My Lady, was gone, because of me.
"I'm so sorry, Marinette." I said.

I was suddenly filled with anger and rage. I called on my  cataclysm and used it on a nearby trash can. It crumbled. It didn't make me feel better, however. It just made me feel worse.

"Claws in." I said as I felt tears well up in my eyes again.

I de-transformed and Plagg flew out of my ring. After I gave him a piece of Camembert, I leaned up against the wall and slid down it as I started crying again. Plagg said something but I couldn't hear him. Then I felt him hugging my arm. I didn't move at all.

Plagg's POV
Adrien de-transformed. When I flew out of his ring, he gave me a piece of camembert. Then he slid down a wall and started to cry.

"Hey, you ok kid?"

He didn't answer.

I set my Camembert down, flew over to Adrien, and hugged his arm. He still didn't move. He just sat there and cried. I didn't know what to do, so I just kept hugging his arm. I knew it wasn't doing much, but I was letting him know I was there. He started to mumble something I couldn't quite make out. I looked up at him to try to make out what he was saying. Then I saw something black and purple fluttering above him. It took me a second to realize what it was.

"Adrien! There's an akuma above you!!"

Adrien's POV
All I wanted to do was cry. So that's what I did. I didn't know what else to do. I cried and mumbled the same thing to myself over and over;

"It's all my fault. I should've protected her. I should've gotten the purple salt, not her. I'm so sorry Marinette. It's all my fault."

A few minutes later, I heard Plagg shout something.

"Adrien! There's and akuma above you!!"

I looked up and saw the akuma. It was about 8 feet away from me.

I started to crawl away from it, but it kept following me. I figured I could cataclysm it!

"Claws out!" I said quickly.

As soon as I transformed, I stood up and yelled "Cataclysm!!" But I was too late. I couldn't touch the akuma. It flew into my bell.
