Chapter 2: Tikki? What was that?

Ladybugs view

I left Cat Noir on the roof top and headed home. I used my yo-yo and swung on my roof. I tried landing on my feet but my hand started hurting and I fell onto my knees. "Spots off." I said. As I de-transformed my hand started hurting more then it had before.

Marinette's view

"Are you ok, Marinette?" I heard Tikki ask as she appeared.
"I... I don't know, Tikki. Are you Ok? Did it hurt you?" I said looking up at her.
"Yes. I'm ok, Marinette. It didn't affect me."
"Tikki? What was that?" I asked as I sat down.
"It's Hawkmoth's special power."
"Like Ladybug's Lucky Charm and Cat Noir's Cataclysm?"
"Yes." Tikki said, nodding. "It's supposed to strengthen his followers. But he must have changed it again somehow."
"'Again'? What do you mean 'Again'?"
"One of the previous Hawkmoth's turned evil and altered his power. We would use it on someone to hurt them rather than to use its real purpose."
"What did it do to a person, Tikki?"
"Well... it kind of," she said, her voice trailed off.
"Tikki?" I asked with a worried tone.
"It... killed a previous Miraculous holder."
"WHAT?!" I yelled as I jumped up.
Tikki slowly dropped her head.
"I'm sorry, Marinette." she said under her breath.
'It killed a previous Miraculous holder?' I re-thought to myself
"Tikki. Are you serious?? Did it really kill a previous holder?"
"Yes." she responded sadly "But she also got hit closer to her heart and she was tiring herself out. It spreads and slowly kills. But we have time to try to find an antidote." she said, looking up.
"You're right, Tikki!" I said" "Maybe Master Fu has an antidote. We can go visit him after school tomorrow."
"Ok, Marinette." Tikki replied
*Yawn* "But for now we should go to bed." I said.
"Good idea."
I climbed downstairs and put my pajamas on then climbed to my bed.
"Good night, Tikki."
"Good night, Marinette."
Tikki flew onto my pillow and quickly fell asleep. I looked at my hand and it looked like it had been burnt really badly and it was slowly spreading up my arm. At this point it hadn't passed my wrist. I just hope we can get to Master Fu on time. And that none had fallen on Cat Noir when I tackled Hawkmoth.

Cat Noir's view

I wanted to follow Ladybug home to make sure she was ok. But I knew how much keeping our identities a secret meant to her. I looked up and the sun was starting to set. Natalie wad going to come get me for dinner soon. So i headed home. I jumped into my window and rushed towards my desk as I de-transformed.

Adrien's view

I sat down and told Plagg to hide. He hid just as Natalie walked in.
"It's time for dinner, Adrien." she said as she walked into my room.
"Ok. Thank you Natalie." I said, standing up.
"Will Father be joining me?"
"I'm sorry but your father is very busy, Adrien."
'Of course he is.' I thought to myself. 'He's always busy.'
"Ok. I'll be down in a second." I said. Natalie nodded and left my room. I sighed. Father is always busy and I rarely see him. I opened my door and walked downstairs. I ate dinner by myself, again, and went back to my room to do my homework. I couldn't stop thinking about Ladybug, though. Was she Ok? What was that purple-salt stuff? What did it do to her? I have so many questions.
