Chapter 7: Cataclysm

Warning! Gets intense and has a small mention of blood. I will put this 🛑emoji at the start and end of the blood part.

Ladybug's view

When I flew out of the window my arm started hurting again. I was so distracted I hit a lampost and fell, hitting the concrete.

Well that didn't help the pain. I thought to myself.

I slowly got up and started to run away from the school. I had to get to Master Fu now. The pirple-salt effect was just below my elbow. I heard something hit the ground behind me and I turned around to see who or what it was.

"Cat Noir?! What happened? Are you ok?" I said after I saw him.

He looked up at me silently and stared at me.

"Cat Noir?"

He just kept staring at me.

"Cat Noir! What's going on?! Why won't you say anything?!"

He started to walk towards me without saying a word. I started to back up. Then I remembered, several equations had hit him. They must have taken him over.

"Cat Noir snap out of it!" I yelled at him, still walking backwards.

I tripped over my own feet and fell on my elbows. It hurt my arm. I could feel the burning spread from just below my elbow to the middle of it.

Cat Noir called on a cataclysm and started to walk even faster towards me. I tried to crawl backwards but my back hit a lamppost.

"Cat Noir!! Stop!!" I yelled at him once more, trying to get him back.

Then he stoped in front of me.

"Cat Noir. Please. Don't do it!"

He used his left hand, that didn't have the cataclysm on it, to grab my wounded wrist. I could feel him grab the purple-salt effected area and it hurt.

"It's all your fault." he said.

"What do you mean?" I said, confused.

"Why weren't you there to stop her?!" he demanded. He squeezed my wrist tighter which caused more pain. At this point I was kneeling in front of him while he was holding my hurt arm in the air.

"Cat Noir! I couldn't do anything! This girl got akumatized on her own!"

"Not her." he said in a quieter voice.

"W-what do you mean? Who are you talking about?"

"She left us! She left me! Alone! And you weren't there to stop her!" he tightened his grip a lot more.

"Cat Noir! You're hurting me!" I almost yelled.

"Now you know how it feels."

He grabbed my wounded arm with his cataclysmed hand. I screamed in pain for a few seconds. Then Cat Noir let me go and I fell to the ground.

Cat Noir's view

"Cat Noir?! What happened? Are you ok?" I heard a familiar voice yell.

"Cat Noir?" I heard it a few seconds later.

"Cat Noir?! What's going on?! Why won't you say anything?!"

...

"Cat Noir snap out of it!"

I didn't know who's voice it was, but I trusted it. I tried to get control but nothing happened.

Cat Noir!! Stop!!"

...

"Don't do it! Cat Noir!!"

I hear mumbling. Then next thing I know, there's a loud scream. I woke up and looked down to see Ladybug, crying. I looked at my hands and saw I was holding her arm. I quickly let go which caused her to fall.

"Ladybug? What happened? Are you ok?!" I said, crouching so I could see her face.

"Get away from me!" she yelled as she backed up.

"Ladybug? What hap-"

"I said get a way from me, Cat Noir!"

She stood up and backed away a little bit. I noticed she was holding her left arm and it was almost completely black. I looked up at her face and saw tears in her eyes.
And I also saw...

Fear?

Was she afraid of me?

"Ladybug?" I said as I slowly walked towards her.

"No!" she yelled at me.

She got her yo-yo out and started spinning it in front of herself, as if she was protecting herself.

"Stay away from me!" she yelled once more.

She turned around and ran away. I noticed she was holding her left arm to her chest the whole time. Why was it black? Had she used her lucky charm and it turned her arm black?

I heard a beeping sound and looked down. It was my miraculous. But, that didn't make sense. I hadn't used my cataclysm yet. At least, before I got controlled by Mathmatition.

Wait. I thought. Did I? I heard my miraculous beep again and I looked at the palm of my hand. It had what looked like blood on it. Had I used my cataclysm on Ladybug and cut her?!                                               🛑

Tears swelled up in my eyes.

I hurt Ladybug.

I hurt my Bugaboo.

My Lady.

I looked up and saw Ladybug jump onto a building. I decided to go after her.

"Ladybug!"

Thank you guys for reading my story! I really hope you're enjoying it. So this is one of the most intense parts of the story and it's only the beginning of the major part. 😊

1. I chose this song because I thought it kinda fit with Cat Noir's view and how he might be thought he was a monster a little bit. (And I really love the song and artist😊💚)
