Young Mi hoisted her little brother up onto the cart, pulled up her white hanbok skirt so she could climb up into the front seat, and flicked the reigns, signaling the old donkey to move forward.

"Noona?" The little boy called out to her as the pregnant Jennet moved forward.

"Yes Beom-Soo-Ah?" She said smiling back at him.

"Where are we going?" He said, crawling up to the front of the cart so, he wouldn't have to call out to her.

"The Market isn't as busy just before noon so naturally the prices lower. We're going to see if we can get something for Father, it's his birthday pretty soon. And we're running low on rice. So if you see a rice stand tell me, Okay?"

"You can count on me Noona." Beom-Soo said flashing his missing front tooth.

Young Mi Gasped "When did that happen Beom-Soo?" She questioned, simultaneously trying to watch the road and inspect her youngest brothers mouth.

"Oh this morning!" Beom-Soo replied cheerfully "I fell over and it was already s'posed to come out, so out it came." Jongho Smiled even wider showing off his gap in his mouth.

"Yes well-"

"Young Mi-Ah!" Came a loud cry. "Over Here!"

"Oh! Ha-Neul!" Young Mi Instantly brightened "Unnie! Come on board!" She pulled on the reins and the cute girl climbed into the seat. "How are you?"

"I'm good, I can't say that for the whole family." Ha-Neul said "Auntie's fallen ill and she's in bed. Were all worried and Mother hardly ever sleeps. But other than that everything is just the same."

"I guess she's having a hard time with the cold weather."

"Well It's certainly not helping." Ha-Neul sighed. "But that doesn't matter, you said you needed help picking out a gift for your father. Let's get to shopping."

"I have to get rice too." Young Mi said. "Beom-Soo is here to help carry the gift while I carry the rice, and you're going to be extrememely careful, aren't you Beom-Soo?"

"Yup!" Beom-Soo said. "I'm gonna make sure Father gets the perfect gift, in the perfect condition."

"Well aren't you the best." Ha-Neul said "I think you might be my favourite of all of Young Mi's brothers."

"Don't lie" Beom-Soo says with a sly smile "We all know you're in love with San-Hyung! I think everyone in our house knows except for San-Hyung himself!"

"What?" Ha-Neul said, a deep blush spreading across her face. "You told everyone?"

"I never said a word," Young Mi started, Ha-Neul looked relieved "Everyone can just tell by the way you stare at him."

"Oh no" Ha-Neul cried out as she buried her face in her hands "My life is over."

"You big drama Queen" Young Mi said. "He's totally in love with you too."

"Really?" She immediately perked up like a happy puppy. "You think so?"

"Oh sweetheart," Young Mi replied sassily, as she stopped the cart and hopped out, lifting Beom-Soo out of the back of the cart "I know so."

"Let's go find a Bamboo Hat!" Beom-Soo said.

"Why that?" Ha-Neul said.

"Fathers old one broke three days ago." Young Mi said. "It's a way we can replace it without loosing too much money because we bought him a gift and a hat."

"That way," Beom-Soo said "We can save money and get dad a present and something he'll use all the time."

"You guys are so smart." Ha-Neul said.
