"Ha Young," Hyung sik said "I'll be dissapointed in you if you fail."
"Yes Father." Ha Young said as she let her maids fix her hair. Her father, Hyung sik, one of the most important people on the council stood behind her doors out of reach like always.
"Good," Hyung sik said, "That'll be all."
Ha Young watched as her father's silhouette slinked away behind the screen. Ha Young sighed as she started at the floor.
"My lady," Came a deep voice "We've got to go to the palace."
"I'll be there in a bit" Ha Young called out.
After she placed the specially chosen gomusin on her feet, she walked out from behind the changing screen to see her usual escort Dongju standing in front of the door.
"Are we all ready?" He said, an eyebrow cocked and and small smirk on his face.
Ha Young huffed. "Yes." She said taking her childhood best friend's arm as he guided her out of her quarters.
"I don't like this whole scheme your father's made for the soon to be King." Dongju said after a while of comfortable science.
"It's not our choice," Ha Young said, "Father is the one who makes the rules."
"That doesn't mean I don't dissaprove of his plans." Donju said.
"Xion," Ha Young said using the nickname she'd made for him when she was 12, "When you think of what he does just think of me, okay?"
Ha Young looked up at Dongju staring at him with an inoccent smile. It only made him blush when she nuzzled against his arm.
Ha Young let go of his arm as she neared the palace. Dongju frowned feeling cold at the sudden rush of air between them.
"Time for another audience with Prince Misery." Ha Young said, as she slowly walked to the courting session she would share with the prince.
Young Mi stared in her reflection in the water. She'd put on her nicest dress and she'd done her hair in an elegant braid running across her shoulder.
She had put some plain gomusin on her feat and had the knife tucked into the back of her green belt.
She looked into the river again. My forehead always looks big when I do my hair like this, Young mi thought as she tried to pull out a few strandsto try and frame her face.
When she was satisfied that her forehead didn't look so big she looked up to see Gunhak with two horses.
He walked across the steeping stones and took Young Mi's face in his hands. He pushed the hair out of her forehead.
He brought his face in close and traced her cheekbones with his nose, tracing a line down to her jaw and then her neck. Young Mi shivered as small tingling sensations erupted across the skin he'd touched.
"You're so beautiful," he muttered before peppering her with small kisses all across her face.
Young Mi stared at him with the awe only a lover could carry in her eyes.
"Come let's go," Gunhak said, taking her hand and leading her to the horses.
