Young Mi rushed back into her house slamming the door behind her and rushing into her room. She looked at her hands. Thinking of the man who's lucky face had been touched by those hands.
"Idiotic nobleman." She huffed. "I can't believe he had the nerve."
Yet as she scrunched her hands up into fists she thought of his piercing feline eyes that seemed to look right into her soul, and her hands moves from her eyes to her chest looking into the distance and thinking of his lips so soft looking.
"Stop" She said to herself "thoughts like this will just lead to heartbreak and even if he did like me the council would never approve of a simple village girl. Just make some rice for the boys."
She went outside to get the sack her brothers had gotten not long ago.
She boiled a pot over the fire in their backyard. Dumping in 5 cups of the rice to 4 cups of water from the river.
She slowly stirred the rice and made sure that when she yested out some of it, that it was nice and sticky.
Big portion for mother she thought bigger portion for father, biggest portions for he boys and what's leftover is for me.
Young Mi sighed at the small portions that once again took over her plate she went outside to the Clementine tree. She put two on each person's plate. She never actually really liked Clementine, she remembered a friend of her's who would eat nothing but clemetines and threw them up again over and over.
However she added then to every meal because that was all that would grow at the moment.
"This dumb world." She muttered "first there are social expectations and then we have hunger and sickness."
She walked outside and saw a magpie had perched itself on one of the tree branches. Trying to force it's back into the skin of the clementine.
She sighed but left the bird alone to eat.
Youngjae burst into the house.
"Just in time." He said "Beom-soo, Jongho, San." The three boys came into the house and lined up waiting for their food.
Young Mi gave them each of their plates. Put a clean sheet over her parents food to keep the flies off of it and sat down.
Youngjae saw her plate. Looked her in her eyes, but said nothing as he had learned to do when managing his sister's easily triggered temper.
Young Mi ate her dinner and devoured these small moments of togetherness. San would be leaving soon Jongho will follow not long after, Beom-soo would grow up and she would probably get married soon. Be the victim of a man she barely knew.
So right now she would allow herself a few moments of bliss.
Before re-entering this dumb world.

Ok Bethan no need to be so depressing. But seriously these thoughts are key to figuring out Young Mi's persona.
She has a history that will be revealed.
Don't know how many words in this chapter. Don't care either.
Have a great day.
Btw I've decided to call you my lion pride. Because no one ever talks about lions anymore. It's always the wolves.
Have a good day/night!!
