Gunhak lay on his bed staring at the ceiling.

Yong-sun will come in soon, Gunhak thought, I need to get up soon.

He slowly got up out of his bed, shuffling to the door to his balcony. He slowly opened the doors and breathed in the fresh air, thinking of Young Mi, again.

He thought of the way her black hair would flow over her shoulder, smooth as silk.

Two knocks sounded at the door.

"Come in!" Gunhak said, he heard the door open and close.

"Your Royal Highness," Yong-sun said "Her majesty is getting impatient with you disregarding the brides she's chosen."

"No need to bring that up" Gunhak said as he walked back into the room, "What is planned for today?"

"Her majesty is having a meeting with you after noon," Yong-sun started "The royal hunting party is scheduling a hunt for some water deer just after breakfast, and you have 4 new brides to meet, at dinner."

"All at once?" Gunhak said.

"Yes, your highness" Yong-sun said chewing on her lip, a habit of her's that had caught his attention multiple times. "I feel that Her Majesty is getting hasty about choosing a bride for you."

"Very well," Gunhak said "That will be all Yong-sun thank you very much.

Gunhak moved to put on his brown and navy blue hunting gear reaching for the cloak he had gotten back from Young Mi.

Gunhak thought of that day he met her. When he first saw what was going on in the alleyway she was obscured by the thugs, so he didn't get to see her until he managed to get rid of the threats.

When he first saw her lying on the ground he thought she would look like any girl. He couldn't see her face because it was nestled into her arms as she lay on the ground trembling.

But then when she truned her head to look up at him he saw her beauty. She had monolids, but her eyes were big, and she had a small slightly upturned nose, narrow and extremely adorable. Pair that with petite heart shaped lips and honey golden eyes, to make an angelically beautiful girl.

Gunhak made it to the hunting party, they were made up of most of the council members' sons and a few lucky palace guards.

"Gunhak!" Kim Young Jo, Gunhak's cousin said "Nice of you to show up! We were unsure if you were coming see as you seem to have a lot on your plate these days. If we're all ready, let's start the hunt!"

Gunhak liked hunting it made him clear his mind. but it was a shame when the hunt was finished too soon.

That's what happened. The water deer were caught too quickly and he didn't get time to savour the feel of his horse's speed and grace. No time to appreciate the hunting grounds.

"I know it's not really a slow hunt like you prefer," Young Jo said "but at least we got some meat for a feast."

"Yeah," Gunhak said, feeling bored, "I guess I better get going then. It's almost noon."

"Good luck Gunhak!" Young Jo said as Gunhak made his way to his mother, waiting for him to turn up.

"Thank's," Gunhak said "I'll need it."

He'd been trying to avoid his mother for the past week. She seemed to get angrier and angrier as the days flew by. Gunhak knew he was in big trouble, and he was trying to prepare himself for the dangerous encounter he'd have to face.
