As soon as Young Mi closed the door, Ha-Neul In came rushing over to her. Young Mi was wrapped in a tight embrace.

"Oh my god Young Miiiiiiii..." Ha-Neul wailed Crying into her shoulder and hugging tight "I-I thought you w-were d-d-d-deaadd!!"

"Young-Mi?" Came a feminine voice

Then following that voice came a middle aged woman. Her eyes red and puffy from crying.

"Oh my daughter" she charged forward and cocooned Young Mi in a tight embrace. "My only daughter"

"Mummy" came the reply followed by soft cries. Soft cries progressed into wails.

"Come my dear." The woman said leading her daughter into the room that all five children shared.

"Take off that cloak and put it under your bed." Bo-yoyng said to her daughter. "If anyone sees that they'll go mad."

Young Mi complied, unbuttoning the cloak and slipping the silk sleeves off of her arms.

A gasp was audible and Young Mi looked up to see her mother had put her hands up to her mouth and her already puffy eyes were filling with tears again.

Then a look of disbelief turned into a look of rage.

"Joong-Ki!!" Bo-young shouted.

A man walked in and looked at his daughters torn white dress, bruised arm and hickey covered neck.

Young-Mi started tearing up. That was all it took for her father's paternal instincts to take over.

He wrapped her up in a hug and rocked her back and fourth. They stayed in that position for a while until her father looked at Bo-Young, with the intense honey eyed gaze her daughter inherited from him.

"Take her to the river and get her cleaned up. I want to talk to her after I've thought about this."

As they walked out of the room and into the small living space Ha-Neul stopped them.

"I'd be happy to help Mrs. Choi. I feel I'm the one responsible."

Knowing it would clear some of Ha-Neul's conscious she let her tag along and help.

They walked into the woods and made their way to the river.

"Young Mi?" Bo-Young said after waiting for her daughter to do something"Do you want me to take your clothes off for you?"

Young Mi nodded. Staying still and complying as her clothes were ripped off of her, and as her mother's touch soothed her taught muscles.

"Oh my god." Ha-Neul said "Young Mi for someone with a giant gash on there back you're so quiet."

Young Mi said nothing.

"I think maybe you should spend the next few weeks at home with me." Bo-Young said brushing her hair as Ha-Neul gently wiped the dirt out of her gashes with her soft hands.

Once her damp hair was pulled back into a bun at the nape of her neck and Ha-Neul had slipped her other white Hanbok onto her body, Young Mi looked at her mother with a seemingly blank expression.

Seemingly.

Bo-Young knew Young Mi well enough to see the desperate undertones in her seemingly dead eyes, the honey colour dulled to a light brown.

She swept her only daughter up into her arms. Holding her head close to her heart and cradling her back and fourth.

"Come my child." Her mother crooned "this will pass, in a few weeks time you'll be back to normal and we can put this behind us.

Young Mi sank into her mother's touch and sighed against her chest, listening to the comforting beats of her heart, and trying to mentality prepare herself for the recount she would have to tell her father once she got inside of the house.
