Young Mi opened her eyes. Startled by a sudden need to get away.

She sat up waiting for the blood to rush to her head before she stood up off of her mat. Young Mi froze then turned her head to her youngest brother staring up at her. Beom-Soo looked up at her wide eyed.

Young-Mi put a finger to her lips, her brother closed his eyes.

She resumed her trip, slowly maneuvering her way around the tiny cramped house.

The door was open.

Young Mi peeked outside to see San and her best friend Ha-Neul, snogging.

"Gross," Young Mi muttered under her breath as she slipped quietly behind the house. Her feet were moving before she even had a chance to think. Barreling through the bushes and jumping across the river.

To find no one.

Young Mi sighed and sat down on the bank, dipping her feet into the water.

"Where are you?" she said to herself.

"I am here in this moment" She replied to herself, "dipping my feet into the cold water of the river, waiting for someone."

"Who is this someone to you?" She asked herself again.

"He's a stranger, I shouldn't like him, and worse he's the prince, he'll care for only the people, the countless brides he's been facing and turning down is just proof of that."

"Do you need him?"

"I don't know"

"Well I know I need you."

Young Mi spun around to see Gunhak on his horse.

"How much? and how long are you willing to wait for me to need you?" Young Mi said as her eyes drooped, and she turned her head.

"You know what you are?" Gunhak said "You're difficult."

"Me? Difficult? Absurd." The words were a joke but the tone was sad.

"Gunhak why are there trees?"

"What?"

"We have trees to breathe," Young Mi said "They give us the ability to live."

"Yes..." Gunhak said "and why is that important?"

"Because I wish I was a tree. I could live to give life without any pain coming to me, I wouldn't need to live with an awareness."

"But then who would ou have to love?" Gunhak said.

"I would have the earth to love and the critters to cherish." Young Mi said "Love comes in all forms, I shall have a love of everything. Love for one thing alone is so limiting."

"Then I'll let you learn to love me." Gunhak said as he dismounted his horse, "I'll be patient, and you'll learn to love me Choi Young Mi."

Young Mi looked up at the man declaring his heart to her.

"You hardly know me." Young Mi said.

"Then I'll get to know you."

"How are you going to do that?" Young Mi was getting tired about this.

"For the love of all things pleasant!" Gunhak exclaimed exhasperatedly, "You are going to make my life hell."

Young Mi smiled.

Small but sincere, that smile was to be the start of many more smiles to come.

[UNEDITED]

This story is kinda becoming hard to write.

I trying to find a way to make Young Mi a likeable character so i'm sorta going for the whole 'Immense amount of love for others but not enough love for herself' kinda gal.

I'm sure it'll all come together in the end.

AYYY Amelia!! How are you girl? Haven't heard from you in a while, good to see you active on here again!

I'm kinda doubting my writing style, honestly it's easier for me to understand an essay writing style. Hehe. And this whole lockdown thing isn't helping.

There's this author occamy she has a log writing story called Chamomile and she's feeling a little down so go treat yourself by reading some of her stories and treat her by leaving positive feedback. (She changed her covers so it might seem confusing bu they are bts fanfics. BTW  occamy if your reading this, I LOVE the new covers.)

Love you all my lion pride-
