Try Doing My Job! (Mini story)

You were lying comfortably in bed. You were looking at your coil for missed messages. You heard Aoba come into your room and sighed. "Another tough day."

"Is your job really that hard?" You asked. "You work in a junk shop."

Aoba glared at you. "You have no idea." He said.

"Is it really?" You asked, "You're overreacting."

"I'm not! It's really hard!" He said.

"Can you prove it?" You asked.

"You know, I will!" Said Aoba, "Let's make a bet out of this!"

"I'm listening." You said.

"You and I switch places. Meaning you work at the junk shop and I won't come into work, for a week. And if you can make it through this week without complaints, I'll let you have my next paycheck. And if you lose, you have to keep working there for the rest of the month!"

"Is your boss okay with that kind of thing?" You asked.

"Yeah. It'd be a new experience for him." Said Aoba.

"Call him first, see what he thinks." You said.

Aoba went on his coil and called his boss, Haga San. "Junk shop Mediocrity." Said Haga San.

"Hey uh, this sounds sudden, but is it okay if I take off this week?" Asked Aoba.

"I'm not sure about that." Said Haga.

"Don't worry, I have a friend who can cover me." Said Aoba.

"In that case, just bring your friend over on Monday, and we can start from there." Said Haga.

"Thanks!" Said Aoba.

He hung up and you said, "You're on!"

[Monday]

You got ready for work. Aoba took you to the junk shop and he and Haga San showed you around. You sat behind the desk where Aoba sits and put your bag on the ground. "You have a job now?" You heard your Allmate say.

"Yeah." You said.

You didn't really like taking out your Allmate outside of your house since it was different compared to other allmates. "You all set?" Asked Aoba.

"Yep. Enjoy your time off!" You said happily.

You said that while giving him a face that said, "I'm gonna win this bet, b**ch!"

Aoba smiled and walked out of the shop. You sat in Aoba's seat comfortably and waited. Nothing happened for a minute, until some people came into the shop for allmate parts. After that, there wasn't anything major throughout the day.

[Time skip]

You got home and Aoba said, "How was work? Was it chaotic?"

"Nope! No chaos today!" You said grinning, "I'm gonna win this bet!"

"Who knows?" He said.

[Tuesday]

You got ready again and it was the same as the first two hours. Quiet. Until, three kids barged into the shop! Two boys and one gitl. You stayed alert. "A new guy?" One of the boys said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" You asked, with a hint of laughter in your voice.

"You're not Aoba." Said the other boy.

"Of course I'm not!" You said, trying to smile, "Were you three expecting him here today?"

"Yeah," the one boy said, "He's stupid not to come here!!
