You and Aoba were playing in your bedroom, both in your canine forms. You were always careful playing with Aoba ever since you discovered you can turn into a wolf. You just wished you could turn into a normal dog like Aoba. Yet you could balance Aoba's dog form on your back, and it was cute when he slept on top of your back. Yet ever since you discovered you can turn into a wolf, a painful sensation was filling your head. So it wasn't all fun and games. After you were both tired out, you both turned back into your human forms and rested on your bed. "That was fun!" You said tiredly.

"Yeah..." gasped Aoba, "...I really need the exercise."

You smiled at him. "You want me to get some water?" You asked.

"Yeah." He said.

You got up and went to the kitchen to get some water. You thought it would be funny to give Aoba water from a dog bowl, but he probably wouldn't like that. You filled two cups with water and went to your room. You saw Aoba trying to position himself. He's really that tired? You gave Aoba the water, and he washed it down like he didn't have a drink in weeks. "Do you think all this exercise is good for you?" You ask Aoba.

"Yeah..." He gasped, "I really need it these days."

You smiled. You sat beside him and sat back. As you both regained your breaths, your mind started swirling in thought. Ever since you and Aoba discovered each other's canine forms, you've thought of your relationship as puppy love, but only as friends. Yet...maybe you thought you and Aoba may be more than friends. Yet you were afraid to admit, especially since Sly Blue can turn into a wolf too. So you decided to hold back your feelings. While you were lying in bed, Aoba was twitching. "Agh!" He gasped.

"Headaches?" You asked.

"Yeah. It hurts." He said.

"Yeah, ever since I discovered I can turn into a wolf, I've been having bad headaches too." You admitted.

"My bag...painkillers!" He gasped.

You got to his bag and pulled out a small pack of pills. You tossed them to him and he swallowed a couple of pills down. "Better?" You asked.

Aoba nodded. As soon as he nodded, a bolt of pain struck your head. "Agh! Why's my head hurting now?" You groaned.

You held onto your head and went to the medicine cabinet in the bathroom and found your pills. You washed down a couple of pills and your headache was not necessarily gone, but it was good enough to tolerate it. You managed to relax and went back to your room. After that, you and Aoba continued to hang out.

[One week later]

You went to Aoba's house to play and you both used up a lot of energy. Aoba was curled up in his dog form and deciding to be cute, you licked Aoba's fur like you were cleaning him up. "H-hey, what are you doing?!" Gasped Aoba embarrassedly.

"You should clean this form too." You said.

"I'm not a cat! Plus it's not normal for a wolf to clean up a small dog!" Added Aoba.

"It's interesting to see something different, isn't it?" You asked.

Aoba had an embarrassed look on his face, but in his dog form, it was super adorable! You continued to lick Aoba's fur clean until Aoba cringed. "Agh!"

"Another headache?" You asked.

He started whimpering in pain. "Do you need anything?!" You cried.

"Get my pills!" He yelped.

You remembered he left his bag downstairs. Out of all times! Not caring you were still in your wolf form, you ran downstairs and took the bag in your teeth and ran back upstairs to his room. You set the bag down, but it was too late. Aoba shifted into a wolf while you were downstairs! He turned around, and you saw the piercing yellow eyes that you knew belonged to Sly Blue. He let out a low growl just like an actual wolf. "Aoba no..." You gasped, "Why now?!"

"Maybe now I can destroy you." Growled Sly.

A pain hit your head in an instant. You let out a low growl as well. "Give him back you son of a b**ch!" You growled.

Sly Blue made angry wolf noises at you. He was obviously focused on you. You braced yourself for what was about to happen. Sly charged towards you and you made a run for it. Yet he bit into your hind leg and you whimpered in pain. He released his teeth from you and you attacked him. But you couldn't go too far, or you'll hurt Aoba like last time. Sly continued to attack you, but you tried to fight. Yet he was too strong for you to take on your own. You stood back up brutally hurt, but you whimpered as a headache hit your head. "Help him young wolf. Use your powers."

What the hell? Could this be...another side of you? You huffed and looked right at Sly. You directly focused at him and before Sly could use Scrap on you, you blasted him with your power.

[Inside Aoba's mind]

What's happening? You were no longer in your canine form, but you still had the ears and tail. You were in a dark place, but this seems familiar. Were you in...Aoba's head? You let out a low howl to see if anyone responds. But nothing. You couldn't morph into a wolf to go quickly, so you had to run at your human pace. "Aoba?" You called.

Yet a thick oozy substance had started to form on the surface that was a crimson red. Was this...blood? No, don't be shocked by it. This isn't reality. Just keep calm and keep searching for him. The ooze was getting bigger and bigger, and it even had the stench of blood. The smell was putrid and you wanted to vomit. But throwing that aside, you went to search for Aoba. You let out a howl again, but no response. But you heard faint whimpering from a little bit away from where you were. The ooze was rising to your knees and it felt like glue as you took each footstep. A large lump of ooze was in view. That's where all the whimpering was coming from. "Aoba! Are you in there?!" You called.

Faint whimpering could be heard from the ooze pile. You tried to push it off, but it was burning to the touch. You grimaced at the burning and continued to push away the ooze. You'd think he's just in the void, but Sly Blue must have had so much power to completely trap Aoba in his own body! You pushed more ooze away, until you saw Aoba's face. You continued to claw at it until he was freed. "Are you okay?!" You gasped.

"Get out of here! It's not safe here! Especially since Sly Blue is in control!" Cried Aoba.

"I'm not leaving here without you!" You gasped.

You pushed away the remaining ooze until he was freed. "We need to stop him!" You said.

"How?" Asked Aoba.

"We fight like men. I'm gonna trap him here in your place!" You said confidently. "Sly! Get over here! Fight for your place!"

Sly Blue appeared in an instant, half human. "If you want to take over this body, you'll have to fight me first!" You shouted.

Sly smirked at you. "With pleasure."

He began to throw punches at you, but you dodged with ease. The ooze was getting even thicker to the point where it was hard to move. He tried to claw at you, but you also tried to claw back. Aoba managed to get the rest of the ooze off him and in a slick move, he threw a handful of the ooze at Sly. The ooze spread around him and his movement started to slow down. The ooze could trap Sly! You built up as much strength as you could, and pushed Sly into the ooze pile. There, it trapped him. "There, he'll sleep here until the end." You said.

"(Y/n)..." said Aoba, "Thank you."

You smiled and gave him a hug. "Let's go home." You said.

But before you got back, you gave him a quick kiss on his lips. Soon, you both went back.

[Back to reality]

You woke up in your wolf form, but Aoba wasn't in his wolf form. He was in his dog form! You changed back into a human and examined the dog. "Are you okay?" You ask Aoba.

He let out a bark. "Arf!"

Taken aback, you looked shockingly at him. Is he not here?! You hugged his dog form, but he morphed into a human again. "Just kidding." He said quietly.

"Aoba..." You gasped, "...Welcome back."

Never again did Sly Blue come back and never again did Aoba turn into a wolf. You still turned into a wolf every once in a while, but your canine form always reminded you of the day you saved Aoba from Sly Blue. And that was something that you held deep into your heart.
