Chapter 32

Nico's POV

I wake up to the beeping off my alarm clock. It is constantly getting louder, and I am eventually forced to move. I roll over and turn it off, then, seeing the time, I jump up and run around my room, trying to get ready at top speed, because the bus will be here in less then 20 minutes. After about ten, I am ready to go, other than eating and brushing my teeth. I throw the door open unceremoniously and charge down the stairs. I jump the last three steps. Hitting the floor running, I charge over to the kitchen table, and my sisters are already eating cereal. I utter a quick, "Morning," before promptly running into a door. I stumble around, but I finally get my bearings straight, so I speed into the kitchen. I run over to the fridge and pull out a bagel. I cram it into my mouth whole before running back upstairs to brush my teeth. By the time I am done, I hear the bus honking the horn. I grab my bag and run down the stairs, taking them 2 at a time. I run through the living room and out the front door, waving my arms and yelling at the bus to stop, since it was pulling away. I step onto it and the driver says, "You cut it mighty fine. If I hadn't been watching for you, I would've missed ye." I just glance at him before going to the back seat of the bus and sitting down.

TIME SKEEPEETO!!!!!

I sigh and step off of the bus, then drag my feet to the front door. I open it slowly, and walk in. I am about to plop down on the couch when I hear someone say, "Nico," very tersely, "what are you doing here. I thought I made it clear you are not welcome here." I look up to see my adopted mom, her face filled with anger and hate. "This is my home. Do you expect me to just leave all of my things, and my family. Well, my sisters anyway?" I say, stressing the last part. She stalks away in disgust and I hear her slam her bedroom door. "Why do people have to be so judgmental?" I think to myself.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been really busy with homework, plus, I have a convention thing, so I won't be on here at all Thursday or Friday... Aaaaaaand, I'm going to another state next week so I can see family, and I have no idea how much of the time I will have wifi. Please vote and comment (Voment, hehe)
