"I saw it," she replied in a monotonous voice, "Demeter is my mother and Zeus is my father."
Des frowned at her, noting her trance-like state.
"Seph," he squeezed her hand, "are you ok?"
It took her a minute to register that he was talking to her before she answered with a false smile.
"Yes, just a touch of Deja Vu."
Des searched her face for a sign of something greater, but couldn't find anything.
"You recognise us?" Zeus questioned her.
"Not really," Seph trailed off, "I just got a kind of flash back, I saw her and Des called her my mother."
Demeter and Zeus looked alarmed at her comment, Des, however, looked confused.
"We knew each other?" He said more to himself.
"Apparently." Seph smiled and squeezed his hand tighter. "You were english."
"Weird." He frowned and shook his head.
Demeter swallowed the bile that rose in her throat before regaining her calm facade.
She centred her entire focus around Seph and a genuine smile broke out on her face.
"My Dearest Persephone," Demeter grinned, "I have missed you."
Seph's eyes began to water, as if on complete instinct she let go of Des' hand and pulled Demeter close in a tight hug.
Demeter let out a sigh of relief and relaxed into the long awaited hug.
Des and Zeus stood on opposite sides of the embrace with almost identical facial expressions, happiness.
Zeus knew why he was happy, his child and her mother were finally reuniting after years of separation.
But Des, he wasn't sure why he felt happy, for all he knew he had only ever met these women once so how could he be so happy for their reunion?
'Because you love her.' His inner voice told him.
Des shook the notion off as soon as he felt it, he didn't know her, he didn't have a family in Olympus, there's no way he could have gotten anywhere near a king's daughter.
"Would you like to see your room, Persephone?" Demeter asked her with tears in her eyes.
Seph nodded with a small laugh and reattached her hand to Des'.
Her mother began to lead the way, Seph and Demeter following with Zeus walking behind them.
They left the hall through a side door that opened up into the most beautiful garden Seph had ever seen, an all too familiar sight she thought.
The walk was long, but she didn't mind, the garden was beautiful and in full bloom, it took her breath away.
Once they all finally reached the end of the pathway, Demeter unhooked a golden key from her waistband and used it to unlock what looked like a hedge.
