Des and Seph were promptly propelled straight into a concrete wall, falling on top of each other as they peeled themselves off of it.
The pair groaned in unison, Seph rolling off of Des and onto the soft carpet.
"You have to work on that." She huffed into the cold air.
Des hummed in agreement, leaning on his elbows with a smile.
Seph let her eyes wander, the room was massive.
The carpet was plush, the bed was humongous and she was almost sure there was a walk-in wardrobe.
"Jesus Christ, Des." She leant back on her heels and looked properly, "this place is amazing."
The room was sleek and modern, everything in all different shades of blue, but it felt cold and impersonal, like no one actually lived there.
"It's alright," he shrugged, dusting himself off from his second crash of the night. "Not very homey though."
Seph smiled sympathetically at him and began walking around, taking everything in.
He didn't have any pictures on his walls or personal touches anywhere, the whole thing was quite clinical.
She finally reached what she thought was the closet, yanking the wooden door open and exposing the biggest wardrobe she had ever seen in her whole life.
"Someone lucked out," she scoffed, "I get a cottage in the woods and you get a mansion with its own land? Unfair."
Des let out a breathy laugh and leaned against the door frame, watching her amazed look.
She ran her hand over the clothes that hung along the rails, suits and designer shirts alongside what looked like dresses, what Hades was seen wearing in the books and on television.
It was strange, Olympus seemed to be merged with the modern world, people had electricity and cars, it was nothing like what she had read about.
"You seem to be quite the fashionista." Seph jokes.
"Am I not at the moment?" Des motioned to his outfit with a completely straight face.
Seph raised an eyebrow at him and he burst into a fit of laughter.
"Although, this seems a bit outlandish." She widened her eyes as she pulled out a bright pink dress, covered in embroidery.
"I don't think that's mine." Des laughed and moved closer to her. "Look it says something here."
Seph's eye went straight to Des' finger.
"Kore."
"Who's Kore?" Des' voice was high and shrill, desperate to believe it wasn't another woman, that he wasn't attached to anyone.
"Me," Seph said blankly, "it's mine."
"I thought you were Persephone." Des said, completely confused.
"I am, but I read that Demeter calls Persephone, Kore." She explained, still staring at the dress.
Des looked at her, watching the way her eyes ran over the fabric.
"Kore means girl, or maiden." He divulged, "and Persephone means destroyer, how could the two names be used for the same person."
"I didn't know you spoke Greek."
Des blushed slightly and let her continue.
"I think it was her way of keeping Persephone, well me, young in her mind." Seph suggested, "she found it hard to let go."
