Part 11 ( The Obstacles )

The rain hasn't stop since last night. The droplets hung low on the bended leaves that kept hitting by the pouring, and slowly they're fall on the ground.

Xiao Zhan drove his car out of his apartment's parking lot. But it squeaked when he kicked the brake pad immediately. His eyes were darted to a young boy in a dark grey hoodie, stood in the rain on the pavement.

Xiao Zhan grabbed the small umbrella that he kept inside the dashboard's drawer and hurriedly got out of the car and approached the boy.

"What are you doing in the rain? You'll catch a cold!" Xiao Zhan shielded the boy with the umbrella and brought him to his car.

"You don't go to the campus?" Xiao Zhan asked after they sat in the car.

The boy, Yibo, shook his head. Xiao Zhan didn't ask him anything else. He drove his car back to the condo.

Inside the house, ,Xiao Zhan changed Yibo into a bathrobe after he asked Yibo to get a hot shower first, while he prepared the instant ginger tea for Yibo.

"Hmph! Drink this. It will keep you warm..." Said Xiao Zhan, handing over the cup to Yibo.

Yibo looked up at Xiao Zhan and mumbled a "thanks" to him.

Xiao Zhan sat beside Yibo. He looked at Yibo's blotched face.

"Did you cry?" Asked Xiao Zhan.

Yibo glanced at him. But he didn't reply. Xiao Zhan sighed. He caressed Yibo's cheek.

"Would you mind if I want you to share your problem with me?" Xiao Zhan spoke lowly.

A drop of warm fluid trickled down Yibo's cheek. Xiao Zhan wiped it off immediately.

"Sshhh... Dont, if you are not willing to..." Xiao Zhan said, gulping Yibo's head into his chest.

Yibo let out a sniffle. Xiao Zhan stroke the back of his head gently.

"I don't know why are you crying. But your tears told me that you are hurt and unhappy. Did I hurt you?" Xiao Zhan whispered. And he could feel that Yibo shook his head.

"Geraldyn..." Yibo muttered between his sob.

"Your aunt?"

Yibo nodded.

"What happened with her?"

"I'm scared..."

"What are you scared of?"

"I'm scared if she finds out about us."

"But she will, eventually..."

"I'm not ready..."

"No one is ready until the day is come. You're just need to prepare yourself for what it becomes when she finally find out. It's rather gonna be bad. Or worse. We'll never know until then... But for your assurance, I'll never leave your side to face them all..."

Yibo lifted his head up and stared at Xiao Zhan who looking at him deeply.

"What did I do to deserve you...?" He said, softly and let out a sob.

Xiao Zhan chuckled. He held Yibo tighter.

"You're so cute," complimented Xiao Zhan.

"Are you not going to work?" Yibo asked.

"My baby is crying here. How can I go to work?" Xiao Zhan stared at Yibo. A smile formed on his lips.

Yibo smiled. Xiao Zhan pecked Yibo's lips.

"I'll go to the campus on the next class, then!" Decided Yibo.

"Are you sure? If you're feel not well, just stay here until the day calls off. We can just cuddle and watch some movies...!" Said Xiao Zhan, worrying if his baby boy got sick.
