Part 23 ( The Denial Lies Inside)

Geraldyn came to the cafe where Yibo works. She approached the counter where the counter girl was glaring at her. Geraldyn didn't bother her. SHe just ordered some menu to take home since she was too lazy to cook dinner only for herself.

"What happened between you and Sunshine, my dear?" asked Aunty Lin when Geraldyn proceeded to pay  her order.

"It just... A family problem, Aunty...!' replied Geraldyn.

"Because he likes his Dean?" Auty Lin raised her brow.

GEraldyn looked at her in the eye. eyebrows twisted.

"Do you  know that?" Geraldyn asked.

"Of course!" Aunty Lin laughed crispily. 'Sunshine just too dumb to hide his feeling..!"

Geraldyn nodded her head.

"does he still working here?" asked GEraldyn.

"yes! Three days ago he came back here and told me everything. He was very sad. Bt now he got love from his bestfriend's family. That is good for him, knowing that he lost his parents when he was very young...!" Aunty Lin gave her the accurate answer.

"Oh!' Geraldyn mumbled.

The doorbell chimed,  when Paul came into the cafe.

"Oh! HI, Gerry!" Paul greeted her when he saw her stood next to the cashier stall.

Geraldyn smiled sheepishly. Her relationship with Paul wasn't in a good term again since a week ago, before she chased Yibo away.

"Can I have some words with you?' Paul asked her.

Geraldyn looked at PAul. SHe was hesitant to do his favor, But reluctantly she nodded. Paull smiled satisfied. Then he led GEraldyn to a table after he order a cup of coffee at the counter.

"I heard you disowned Yibo and threw him out of the house..."Paul started the conversation.

GEraldyn closed her eyes irritation listen to Paul's words that she took as a judgement.

"Well!Yeah...!I'm a bad aunt, right?" Geraldyn bursted out. Her eyes glistened with tears.

"I didn't say that. And I'm not judging you, Gerry...! I just wanted to confirm it since last time I met him at Su Nian's house...!" Paul held her hand which fidgeting with the tissue paper on the table.

"Gerry... I don't blame you. But I want to help you, instead. That's why I always here when you need me. We were friends since high school..!" said PAul.

"No... YOu can't help me, Paul... You just can't! It's already in my blood..!' Geraldyn started to cry.

"Gerry, look! I'm not asking you to change yourself that you are not. But you have to learn to accept who you  are. Don't keep blaming yourself. Give yourself a chance. what had happened to your nephew is not youu fault. That is his nature. You don't make him as who he is now.It has nothing to do with you...!"

"but... My sister will very disappoint and sad that her only son has turned into a gay. And it is my fault, Paul...!"

"Stop blaming yourself, I said!It's not your fault!And how do you know that she is disappoint? Sad, maybe!But I'm sure, if your sister and her husband stil alive, they will accept Yibo whateveer he is.They will always love him. Whay can't you? You are in the same boat as him...!"

Geraldyn covered her face with her palms.

"Other people can accept him being a gay. Why can't you? Look at me, gerry!" PAul pulled Geraldyn's hand that covered her own face.
