Part 30 ( Let Him Shine )

Xiao Ying came to the last night bar where she collected her brother  to meet the bartender who helped the drunk Xiao Zhan .

"Hi! " Xiao Ying greeted the bartender.

The bartender who was standing in front of the entrance  turned around and  smiled when he saw her. Xiao Ying screamed internally when she saw the sweet smile the guy has offered her.

Oh Jesus Christ.... last night he looked cool. But today he looked hot as fuck!  Xiao Ying squealing in her heart. And she regreted when she looked down at herself with what she was wearing.

"Here! Your IC..! " The guy said, passed her the card.

Xiao Ying took the card  with the smile on her face.

"You look cuter on the photo. sorry. But I can't help to commented on your innocent  look there..!" The guy smiled.

"No. It's ok. I don't feel offended...!" Xiao Ying replied. She tucked in the strands of her locks behind her ears.

"XIao Ying, right?" asked the guy.

"Ye-yeah! And You?"

"Paul. Paul Chen!"

"Oh! Hi, Paul! thanks for helping my brother to not collapse in the street..!"

"Not a big deal. I saw him this past few days he frequently visited the club alone. Usually after he went on tipsy he would stop drink and go home.  But last night  he drank himself until he got drunk and he still asked fro more drink. I can't give him anymore. So I just brought him out..!"

"Yeah! Too many things happened to him in a short time and he has nobody to rely on. I think he got desperate . And the only person that he believe won't leave him also hurt him so much and broke up with him.! I feel sorry for him. He's kinda an introvert person who don't talk a lot with people...!"

"Well, where are you leading up now?"

"HMmm... I want  to go to the police station."

"But why?"

" I want to ask about the breaking in which happened a few weeks ago at my brother's' house. He said the police has the evident to track the culprit..!"

"ahh... Do you mind if I accompany you there?"

"If it doesn't bother you..!"

"Of course not! LEt's go!"

Paul led Xiao Ying to  his motorbike that  he parked near the building. And off they went to the police station.

" Detective Luo is in charge for this case. But now he is out of town to take care of another case. He'll be back in two days!" One of police officers who receive their demand explained.

"How about the evident? WHo is in charge to keep it?" asked Xiao Ying.

"The evident is well kept by Detective Luo himself. So you can ask about it to him only when he comes back." replied the officer.

"Can't you help me?"

"I'm sorry. But I have no right  to expose the evident of any cases without the permission of the authority, Ma'am! I suggest you to come back here two days later, and you better give him a call first before you come here. Detective Luo is always run after the cases all over the town."

Xiao Ying nodded her head. She heaved a sigh in disappointment.

"Don't worry.. We still can come here to see him. Hopefully he will be available when we come around here again..!" Paul comforted Xiao Ying's discomfort.
