Part 36 ( The Fire )

Xiao Ying was working, giving up the promotion flyers of the newly open fast food restaurant when Xiao Zhan called her.

"Hi, Ge..! Father? Ah, ah... Oh my Goodness... Ok! Ok. But how?"

And the call has been cut off. Xiao Ying looked at the phone with mouth pouted.

"I'm living with the gangsters who never committed any crimes except being high and have a fight, Ge...!" She grumbled.

Then he ran to the restaurant and slammed the stack of flyers on the counter table.

"I gotta go! Have urgent matter!" Said Xiao Ying to the restaurant's owner, removing her restaurant mascot costume.

"Hey! If you leave now, you are fired!" The owner shouted.

Xiao Ying ran out and replied :"Go ahead, fire me! My Dad worths my life!"

Xiao Ying ran to the street, tried to catch a cab to go to the mansion. Her phone rang.

"Hello?" She answered without checking the Id caller.

"Paul! I can't! I need to save Father! I'm going to the mansion now! I'm still in front of the pig's restaurant! Yikes! I hate pigs!... Ok, ok! I'll wait for you, but hurry up!"

Xiao Ying agitatedly stood on the road side. Sometimes she tiptoed to see further if Paul is coming. She tucked her hands into her baggy pant's pocket.

A few minutes later, Paul came with his motorbike.

"Good thing you came fast!" Xiao Ying said, hop on the seat behind Paul.

"What happened?" Paul asked, passing her a helmet.

"Father is ill. And Zhan Ge suspected he's been poisoned!" Xiao Ying answered, putting the helmet on.

"How come? Who did it?"

"Who else? Of course the Wan "Witch" Zhao Ying. Go! Fast!" Xiao Ying hit Paul's back softly.

Paul didn't say much more. He ran his bike into the highway.

Half an hour later, they arrived at the side gate of the mansion. They looked the surrounding, a little bit away from the gate, since there was surveillance system capturing every move outside the gate.

The way was empty since it occupied by the mansion as the owner's property. Only small vehicles allowed to get an access to this way without the guard's concern.

"Why don't you use the main gate?" Asked Paul.

"We can't...! There are the guards that very loyal to my mother. Wait! There is a Vietnamese guard who once very close with Father... Uncle Nguyen... Yes! We can ask his help! But... I don't know his cell's number..." Xiao Ying devastated.

"Why won't they let you in freely?" Asked Paul again.

"My relationship with my mother has ruined years ago. So she forbid me to enter the house without her concern...!"

Paul heaved a sigh.

"Do you think she's at home now?"

Xiao Ying shook her head.

"I don't think so. She a kind of person who loves to spend her time at work. She doesn'tlike to stay at home, except for rest..."

"Then what we gonna do now?"

Xiao Ying thought. She looked at surrounding.

"Aunty Nhung!" Xiao Ying suddenly shouted with eyes brightly shone to a direction.
