"That... T-that's all who we have left!?"

Randel's words echoed through the area, Ringo shuddering as he stood beside him.

The Chief lowered his head down.

"It is..."

Max, who stood beside him, merely just stared on blankly.

Ringo's alter ego and two regular blue meanies stood in front of them, all uneasily staring back.

Ringo's gaze fell on John, who was currently sitting alone by the edge of the liquid, just as grey as he had been since...

The drummer shook his head.

"This... I'm j-just going to say... is a bit... um... worrying."

Ringo's alter ego nodded slowly.

"My bandmates...  I... I s-still can't forget the sight..."

The Chief, swallowing, took a step forward.

"Listen. I think that it's for the best that we all just rest here. I'll check on that apple later and see if the liquid got closer or not."

He sighed.

"For now, we all need to relax and gather our thoughts."

"Relax?"

Everyone in the vicinity, apart from John, gasped as they heard the creature's voice from high above.

Silently, it floated down, smirking at all who stared up at it.

"Well well well... You didn't last long I see."

Randel shivered and went behind Ringo, not wanting to it to approach him.

As the creature set foot on the ground, it chuckled.

"Hmm... only eight of you left, ay? Even I must say that that's very surprising."

Max, acting without thought, made his way over to the remaining two regular blue meanies, and they all held onto each other as they shivered.

Ringo's alter ego stood as still as a statue, staring at the creature with wide eyes.

The Chief glared at it.

"What are you doing h-here?"

The creature did not reply immediately, instead taking a step toward the blue meanie, putting its hands behind its back.

"I just came here because I was bored. It isn't really that exciting looking at the same sight all day, nor is it to..."

It turned it head toward Randel, and Ringo did his best to try and cover him.

"Say... try to reason with someone who is too stupid to think for himself."

The Chief's hands shook as he tried to keep himself controlled and calm.

"S-so... what are you g-going to do!?"

The creature turned towards him, tilting his head and studying the blue meanie for a moment.

Its mouth curled upwards in a large grin.

"Hmm... I'm just..."

It raised a little bit off of the ground and flew over to the Chief, who was frozen on the spot.

"Going to do this. Just for fun."

Without a second's hesitation, it grabbed the Chief's head, dragging him towards the goo.

"AY! LET ME GO!" The Chief yelled, trying to hit the creature with his hands.

Max gasped.

"No!"

He began to run toward the pair, but before he could reach them...

"AA- Mph!"

The creature threw the Chief face-first into the goo, and it muffled his scream.

Max grabbed his own head with his hands and fell to his knees, screaming.

The two other remaining blue meanies just held onto each other, not wanting to look over at the scene.

Ringo and Randel stared on silently as the Chief's body began to fade in colour.

John didn't look over, keeping his gaze on the ocean of slime in front of him.

The creature smiled as the Chief's body lost all colour, watching as the blue meanie's struggles got weaker and weaker with each passing moment.

In one instant, the Chief stopped moving completely, his body being taken over by the liquid.

Max, shaking intently, stood up, tears streaming from his eyes.

"W-what are we going t-to do!? He was the last voice of reason we had!"

The creature cringed at his scream and turned to him, the Chief's body now nothing more than black goop.

One of the two blue meanies made his way to Max, patting his back as he continued to scream and cry.

The creature growled.

"You know what Max?"

Max's gaze shifted to the creature, and he didn't immediately notice the line of goo heading straight for him.

"I'm starting to get sick of your screaming."

Max looked down at the ground and gasped.

A line of goo was stretching out from the ocean in front of him, and it was meremly just feet away from him.

He turned around instantly.

"OUT OF MY WAY!"

He pushed the blue meanie next to him to the ground, running off as the line of goo continued to stretch toward him.

It wasn't too long before he felt it wrap around his leg.

He fell harshly onto the ground, feeling his happiness slowly fade from him as his colour did the same.

"SOMEONE HELP ME!"

Randel took a step forward, staring at the panicking blue meanie as he was pulled toward his doom.

Once Max's colour had faded completely, he felt a part of his leg go numb.

His hands grabbed at the ground beneath him to no avail.

The creature laughed as he watched him struggle.

"Too bad. Should have kept your mouth shut."

Max slid to a stop right in front of the goo, and he felt his enite leg go numb as he rolled over onto his back.

"W-wh..."

He gasped.

A small wave was heading towards him, just at the right height to cover him completely.

He stared at the creature, who was now floating above him.

"Goodbye, Max."

Those were the last words Max heard before the wave came crashing down on top of him.

After a few moments, the liquid receded back, leaving nothing behind.

The creature smirked as its gaze turned to Randel and Ringo.

"I'll be close by. So, if any of you want to last a little longer, don't be as annoying as he was."

It began to fly away from the area.

"I can see what you're all doing, just to let you know."

John's gaze did not lift from the goo in front of him.

The grey guitarist stayed completely silent.

Once the creature was out of sight, Ringo shook his head.

"Well... I-it's just us now..."
