Monse's POV:
2 weeks later:
"Hi Cesar, it's me again please call me back. I know you're mad but we both did stupid things and said dumbs things. Just please Cesar." I hang up. He hasn't talked to me since the morning Jesús dumped me.
1 week later:
"Seriously Cesar text me or call me or something! God, you don't even want to know what's going on with your kid?" I take a deep breath and exhale. "I'm not mad I just... bye." I hang up and throw myself onto my bed. "Don't judge mami." I tell Mateo as he stares at me from his playpen. My phone starts to ring and I pick up without even checking who it is. "Finally where have you been?!" I say quickly. "Hey it's Noel." I hear her say. "Oh." I slouch back down. "Can I come over?" She asks. "To my house? You haven't been here in months... or even talked to me in months." I say. "Yeah I know but Cesar's been gone for like three weeks and..." She doesn't say anything else. Ever since her parents left her at her grandma's house she tends to over think. "Yeah, just come." I tell her.
I guess she was at Cesar's place because she shows up a few minutes later. "Hey." Noel smiles but I can see her mascara wiped around her eyes. "Come on." She walks in and Mateo smiles and giggles. "He missed you." I tell her when I pick him up. "Hey little man." She waves. "You can cry, he won't remember any of this." I sit on the couch and put him on my lap while he watches cartoons. "I don't need to cry." She insists. "Ok. No word from Cesar?" I ask her. "No." She says. "Are you ok?" I ask. "Yeah... it's just... he wouldn't leave me like that." Is she serious? He left me and his kid what makes her so special? Why is she different? "Can I be real with you for a second?" She asks but she starts talking before I can say no.
"I was jealous of you and I might be why Cesar left." She looks at me seriously. "What?" I ask. "Well he told me everything, how he spent the night." She raises her brows. "And you're ok with that?" I know he didn't tell her everything. "Yeah you guys used to have sleepovers all the time." She shrugs. "Yeah... sleepovers." I have no idea what she's trying to do. "I mean the four of you used to hangout constantly... before everything happened." Of course she thinks it was all of us. "So why would that make him leave?" I ask. "I told him you guys needed space, I didn't think he was ready to be your friend." She says casually. "Is that it?" I ask. "Basically, but when he left he said I was right he needed space and he was going to the only person he wants to see right now." She shrugs.

Cesar's POV:
3 weeks ago:
"You know all I want is for us to be happy." Noel tells me. "What are you talking about?" I ask. "Maybe you need to stay away from Monse. I get that you four like to hangout but you need space and I need a boyfriend I can trust." She smiles as she stares down at her cup of coffee. "You're not ready to know her again... you should just stay away from all of it." She looks deeply into my eyes. "What do you mean all of it?" I ask her. "I mean maybe even your son is too much of a tether." She can't be serious, she's obsessive but she love Mateo. "You're right." I say and she smiles. I get up and I grab a few things and throw it into my bag. "Just so you know I got to know Monse again... very well." I say before I leave and slam my front door shut. "Where are you going?!" She chases after me. "Only place I want to go!" I get into my car and throw my bag in the backseat. "Fine, I'll go to her house too! You know you can't just leave like this!" She screams as I drive away.

Noel:
Present day:
Of course he didn't want to see her. "I should just go, this was a bad idea." I tell her. "No, don't go." She says. "Ok." I smile. He's here somewhere. "He wouldn't just leave me you know." I look around without making it super obvious. "Is it ok if I spend the night?" I ask Monse. "Yeah, it's been a while since we did that." She smiles. "So Cesar didn't stop by or call or text?" I ask her. "No, I've been going crazy calling him. "Really? I just assumed he would stop here first." I bite my lip. "You realize he's a sketchy guy, right? He does these things." She says. "He's a Santo not a psychopath." I insist. "I know." She nods. "He has secrets that's who he is, he'll never tell you everything." She really thinks she knows him. "I know secrets and he doesn't have any." I laugh. "Hey, I'll be right back. You mind holding him for a minute?" Monse asks and I hold Mateo. He's so calm and quiet, just like his dad.
"Hey Monse, when Cesar comes back we'd be more than happy to take this cutie off your hands for a weekend!" I say.

Monse's POV:
"Cesar Noel's here and she's acting crazy I don't know what's going on but I really need you to come home right now. She doesn't know that I noticed, I shouldn't even leave her alone with Mateo but seriously I'm worried just come home now." I whisper to his voicemail. "Hey, I'm back!" I pick up Mateo from her lap and she looks confused. "Is everything ok?" I ask. Before she can answer my phone rings.
