Jesús' POV:
"Lorenzo told me you had something say about lil Spooky." Rashad says when we get to his house. "Yeah I was sitting outside of his old house and he was talking to some girl about taking the block back. You said if I wanted in I had to tell you what he was doing back so here you go." I say confidently. "Most of the Santos are either dead or hiding, you really think he can do this?" Rashad asks. "Yeah he's done-" He cuts me off. "I wasn't talking to you dumb ass." He hisses. "Kairo." Rashad says without breaking eye contact with me. "The kids right he's done shit like this before." Kairo says. "So what are you gonna do kill him?" Adriana asks. "No, not until we know what they're actually going to do. He's smarter than Spooky he's not doing shit until he's sure they're gonna take away what's ours." Rashad proclaims. "What about him?" A prophet that I've never met points at me. "Now, he gets jumped in." Rashad says and I try not to look nervous. "I thought all I had to do was tell you what he's doing." I say, confused. "You gotta prove your loyalty." He says. "Let's do it." I tell them.

***next day***
Cesar's POV:
"Why the hell is it so hard to find these people." I ask Eva while we call and text everyone of the Santos and their family members. "Most of them are dead or hiding from this fucking place that's why." Eva rolls her eyes. I hear a knock at the door we both jump a little. No one comes by here anymore. "Oscar, what the hell are you doing here?" I smile when I see him. "Heard you were looking for some Santos, I got you hermano." He says. "I don't know how you're going to find anyone." I sigh. "What's his problem?" He asks Eva. "We've been calling everyone and no one's picking up." She explains. "And I thought you were supposed to be the smart one." Oscar laughs. "What?" I ask. "I found like five Santos just hanging around el barrió." He shakes his head. "If you want to find your people know your damn people." He says, a little more seriously. "You wanna know why we're looking for them?" I ask. "I know why, it hasn't been that long since I was where you are right now." Oscar nods. "So are you back?" Eva asks him. "Yeah, I'm back." He says proudly. "All hail the king." We all look a the door way and see Monse standing there. "You shouldn't be here, you're not a Santo." Oscar tells her. "Yeah I don't care about any of that, I just wanted to know if you had any idea why the prophets went after Jesús?" She asks. "Did you ask him? They're not just going around jumping people he probably did something to piss them off." I tell her. "Not everything is his fault." She defends him. "I thought you guys were done." I point out. "Well we're not. He's at my house right now bleeding and in pain." She says seriously. "Try chocolate and a hot water bottle that always helps when I'm on my period." Eva laughs. "Wow." Monse storms out. "Shit I didn't know she was so sensitive." Oscar says. "You know I took care of Cesar every time someone fucked him up but you guys can't even take Jesús seriously for one second." She turns back around quickly. "Hey I don't even know who he is." Oscar defends himself. "He's the one who stuck around when your brother ditched his kid." Monse leaves for real this time. "You're letting some pendejo raise your kid for you?" Eva asks. "It's not like that. Can we just go back to saving our block?" I ask them.

Monse's POV:
"Hey, they didn't know anything. Of course they couldn't be serious long enough to even wonder what this means for them." I tell Jesús when I walk in. "What do you mean?" He asks. "If the prophets are attacking innocent people a few feet from our houses they're obviously trying to do something." I explain. "Like what?" He asks quickly. "I'm not a prophet I don't know." I tell him. "Monse, I gotta head out you guys keep the doors and windows locked. I'm bringing Mateo to Cesar's while you figure this out." My dad says. "What do you mean figure this out?" I ask. "Whether he remembers this or not I don't want my grandson to see anyone like this." He says as he looks at Jesús. "You can't though, Cesar's not at his place he's across the street." I explain. "Looks like he's leaving now." My dad says. "Where do you think he's going?" Jesús sits straight up and looks out the window. "I'll take him over." I tell him dad. I grab Mateo and his diaper bag and we cross the street. "Can you watch him until tomorrow? He shouldn't be around Jesús right now." I ask Cesar. "Yeah, sure." He says reluctantly. "If you don't want to I can figure it out." I say before handing over my son. "It's not like that, I just know you don't like him being around any gang shit." Cesar explains. "Please Cesar, just go to your apartment and stay with him." I beg. "We can handle everything over here." Oscar tells him. "Ok, you guys tell me if... just let me know what happens." I can tell he's trying to keep me out of it. Now I get why Jesús is so suspicious. "Promise me you'll keep him safe." I say desperately. "He's my son too, I know how to be a good dad." Cesar tells me. "Do you?" I whisper and I know I shouldn't have said that. "Yeah, that's why he's never seen someone who just got jumped when I'm taking care of him." Cesar says as he takes Mateo and walks to his car.
