Hiding The Alpha

Me? (Howard's P.O.V.)

I ran. I ran for 3 hours to get out my anger and sadness from my 'rejection'.

I'm rejected once again. I didn't even have the chance to tell her. I was going to wait a couple of days, but tell her about Jemesha tomorrow.

Not wanting to think about either of my mates, I let Colton take complete control over his body.

Our dark brown wolf flew past trees and jumped over bushes with ease. Every now and then eating a rabbit. Howling. This is the life.

Or half of it.

Colton continued to run, not talking to me or telling me where he is heading.

When I saw he was about to cross the border into the Star pack, our enemy pack, I took over and stopped. Why would he want to risk getting us killed? Probably forgot that our land ends here.

I ran back before anyone from their pack would come, see me, then kill me. I got to the pack house then ran straight for my room. I shifted then pulled on a shirt and some shorts over my naked body, then went downstairs to see our future Alpha.

Quinn is our future Alpha, but unlike his dad, he hates the war going on between our pack and the Star pack. Most of the teenagers, including Quinn, wouldn't have went to the war if Alpha Carter didn't command us to.

Because of our stupid wolf, wanting to submit to that prick, we went and fought. I watched as Alpha Carter ripped out the throat of their Luna. I watched as Alpha Turner fell to the ground from the loss of his mate.

Alpha Carter watched and laughed in his face for being so weak, 'falling to the ground from the loss of a simple woman,' he said. Worst of all, I watched as Alpha Turner begged for Alpha Carter to end his life, his pain and suffering.

He couldn't fight back because they mated, so he felt the pain of his mates' throat being ripped from her, killing her instantly. He was empty, his other half gone. Finally I watched as Alpha Carter shifted to his wolf again, then ripped his body to pieces.

Alpha Carter tried to give commends to the pack, but they didn't listen because he wasn't their Alpha. Their daughter was.

Her identity still remains a mystery because she changed her last name. He killed every Turner girl age 18 and younger, wolf or not but none of them was her. So he came to the conclusion that she changed her last name. Now he is in his office, looking at the pictures of every girl within their land to see if all of their features match the mix of the now dead Alpha's.

I walked downstairs were Alex, Quinn, and-

Ugh!

That Barbie were sitting.

She is only on Quinn all the time because she wants to be Luna. Ofcoarse he's fucked her, plenty of times, but he isn't stupid enough to mark and mate with her.

This difference with mating and just sex is when you mate, the one you are mating is either already marked by you or you are going to mark that person right before your release.

I went and sat on the other side of the couch Alex was on and relaxed my body. After that run, my wolf was tired and quite frankly, so was I. Does't mean I'm going to sleep yet.

"Candy, go upstairs now. I'll be up later." Quinn winked at her and she giggled then ran upstairs.

Rolling my eyes, I asked him, "Why did you send upstairs and not go with her."

"The more important question is why did you run for 3 hours straight without teling anyone?"

I wonder if I should tell him. I'm sure it wouldn't matter, plus I wouldn't want to upset the future Alpha because he found out I lied.

"I found my second chance mate. We; Alex, my mate, and me, talked in the woods for a while and that's when I found out. Then Candy came and tried to start shit and Danie, my mate, went inside Alex car because she has to hide the fact she is a wolf. Long story, and I don't think I should be the one telling it. Anyways after I delt with Candy, I turned and saw that Danie was sitting in another dudes lap. Me and my wolf felt rejected again, so I ran."

He looked at me with pity, I hate that look.

"What's her name again?" Quinn asked.

"Danielle. We call her Danie for short though."

When I said her name, I saw something flash in his eyes but it disappeared before I could figure out what it was.

Not thinking on it, I got up and as I was heading to the stairs, Quinn called me back down to him.

"Howard," he said "we've been friends for a long time and I trust you with my life. You're strong, smart, trustworthy, and everything a great Beta should be. So I was wondering if when I take over as Alpha, will you be my Beta?"

Me? He could've asked anyone and he choose me.

That's an honor!

He shouldn't even have to ask.

"Of coarse I'll be your future Beta! You didn't even have to ask me! Thank you Quinn, this is an honor." He smiled at me and I saw relief on his face. "Well my future Alpha, I must be going to sleep so I can see my Danie tomorrow. Thank you again. Night."

"Night."

Then I took a shower and went straight to bed, dreaming of my second chance mate.

Wait...what's with Quinn? Why did his face light up when Howard said Danie's name? 

Danie is Howard's mate, not his.

Well I guess we'll find out next chapter when I write in Quinn's pov
