Age- 12 years old.
Her hands shook as she grabbed the door handle and walked in to the school. Camila had moved with her father and her sister to Boston to look for a new beginning. After her mother died in a horrible car accident a year ago, things changed. Her father wanted Camila and her little sister, Sofia to start over and get a better state of mind. That way he can also begin his own business in Boston.
She entered her new middle school and went straight to the reception office where she was given her time table and documents for her homeroom teacher to sign then she was off to her homeroom class.
She entered room 113 and gave her new teacher the documents that needed to be signed. She was a young blonde lady who didn't look older than in her thirties or late twenties.
"So you're Miss Cabello... It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Miss Jessica, your history teacher." The blonde lady said with a warm smile, extending her hand for Camila to shake.
"It's nice to meet you Miss Jessica." Camila responded feeling slightly nervous as she shook her new teacher's hand.
The classroom had barely any students- then again, it was still very early. There was just a girl in the back of the room with her head buried in a book, her long dark locks obscuring her features.
"Miss Jauregui, would you be kind enough to show Miss Cabello around?" Miss Jessica asked the girl in the back of the class.
The girl looked up from her book, feeling annoyed that she was interrupted from her literature and looked at her teacher. "Miss Jessica, without any disrespect but why would I want to do that?" The girl asked in a sassy tone.
"Miss Jauregui, it's an order, not a question. You might get a bonus on your next exam if you help Miss Cabello for the week." Miss Jessica persuaded.
"A week?" The girl asked in disbelief.
"Yes, a week, now would you please show Miss Cabello to her locker?" The blonde demanded.
The girl let out a loud groan as she stood from the table.
"Oh, and she will be sitting next to you from now on." Miss Jessica added as she stood from her desk to start writing today's lesson in the blackboard.
The girl sighed and made a gesture with her head for Camilla to follow her, so Camilla did as told. They walked down the corridors until they made it to Camila's locker, surprisingly right next to the dark haired girl.
"So.... Uhmm, what's your name?" Camila asked trying to start a conversation.
"Lauren... You?" Lauren answered directly as she fiddled with her locker, stuffing books in it.
"Camila..." She retorted in a sense of anxiety.
Lauren finally turned her head towards Camila. Camila noticed the girl's beautiful wavy hair before, but now she noticed bright piercing green eyes. They were beautiful.
Camila guessed she was staring too long since Lauren raised her eyebrows looking at her strangely.
"Sorry... You just have very beautiful eyes." Camila blabbered.
She smiled at the compliment, though she just nodded her head and kept fiddling with her locker. That is until books fell from it and landed on the floor. She kneeled down to pick them up so Camila decided to help her. She kneeled down next to Lauren and collected book after book, placing them neatly in order before noticing a particular book.
"Diaries of Hannah; the Third Wheel...?" She said as she read the cover feeling as if it was familiar.
"Yeah... You like Hannah Mason Diary Series?" Lauren asked as Camila handed her the gathered books.
