"Just call my Josie. Most people do."
"I like the name Jocelyn. I like the way it sounds, I like the way I have to move my lips to say it. It's perfect."
"You're weird, Reyna."
"That's okay. My mom told me to just appreciate everything I find beautiful. I find your name beautiful, so I appreciate it by saying it."
"You and your deep-talking nonsense. Let's go play soccer."
"I'll fall on my face."
"I'll help you up if you do."
"Why?"
"Because friends always help each other up."

Reyna is the girl who never speaks. She lived a simple life with having one single friend, accepting of who she was. Until she meets Bryce. Reyna's story doesn't go through just ups and downs, but it tells a realistic life of a high school teenager. She finds her voice, and discovers where it went. She goes from the shy girl with one best friend to being surrounded by many.
A little bit about the author (me):
My name is Ciara. I am from Ohio, but I live in California now. I've been writing since middle school and I have a passion for music. I am 20 years old, currently in college. I have 3 siblings, all living in different states. Laurie Halse Anderson is not only my favorite author, but also an inspiration to me. The Impossible Knife of Memory and A Matter of Heart are two of my favorite books, and I can relate my writing to the book We Were Liars by E. Lockheart because of the figurative language.
I will be uploading probably around 2-3 times a week. Please Comment feedback, I'd love to know what you all think!
