FACT#116: Natalie Dormer reveals how she wants to die on 'Game of Thrones'
The actress talks with Conan O'Brien about the anxiety "Game of Thrones" actors feel each time they get a new script.
Anyone who has seen or read "Game of Thrones" knows just how decidedly vincible the characters are. Even those who seem vital to the storyline can easily find themselves with their heads on a spike, an arrow through the heart or worse.
Natalie Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell on HBO's "Game of Thrones," sat down with late-night host Conan O'Brien on Monday to talk about death in Westeros. Dormer revealed that season 5 of the series will bring Margaery Tyrell's storyline up to where we are in the books, and that she's now firmly entering the "Fraternity of What the f*** is going to happen to me now?"
That fraternity is filled with all of the characters in "Game of Thrones," especially now that storylines are converging and author George R.R. Martin has revealed that all characters will soon be fair game for the kill.
Knowing that the odds are, at best, 50-50 that she's going to live, Dormer speculated on how she wants to see Margaery Tyrell die in the series. Dormer has been beheaded before (as Ann Boleyn in "The Tudors"), and death by poisoning looks very painful (both to experience and to act, according to Dormer). So, she really wants to be killed by dragon. I would have chosen death by Hodor, myself, but dragons are pretty cool too.
I think Daenerys Targaryen can probably arrange for a dragon death, Natalie, so be careful what you wish for. Those dragons look like they are up for the task as well, and they are on a path toward King's Landing.
