FACT#48: Hodor from 'Games Of Thrones' set for DJ tour
Kristian Nairn will play six deep house sets over the summer in Australia.
The actor who plays Hodor in Game Of Thrones is set to embark on a DJ tour.
Kristian Nairn will play six dates in Australia on a tour which is being dubbed the 'Rave of Thrones', reports Mixmag. The nights will boast a Game Of Thrones dress-up theme and see Irish actor Nairn playing deep house, with a visual warm-up set from Ego based on the popular fantasy show.
The tour kicks off on August 28 at The Hi-Fi in Sydney, with dates in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Darwin, and the last set at Zhivago in Adelaide on September 7.
The actor Alfie Allen recently denied claims his sister, Lily Allen, made about how she was nearly cast in Game Of Thrones. Earlier this year Allen claimed that she turned down a cameo appearance in the popular fantasy show, saying she was asked to play the sister of Theon, who is played by Alfie Allen, her real life brother.
However, in an interview with Vulture, Alfie says his sister was incorrect to say that and praised actress Gemma Whelan, who took the role. "I heard about this, yeah. The only thing I'm going to say on that is that it's not true," he said. "Gemma Whelan was always their first choice for the part. And she's fantastic."
While Allen was not keen on the role she claims she was offered, she did say that she would be interested in making music for the show, following in the footsteps of Sigur Rós and The National.
