FACT#109: What happens when you cast a portion of the local population as costumed extras to fill an audience? Well, at the end of the day, the filming ends, and the extras flood out into the streets. These striking images of the extras heading out at the end of a long day of filming, come to us via The Daily Mail.
There's no spoilers here, just images that give us an idea of what life in Meereen would be like if we happened to live there. These are some great shots of the Essos costuming aesthetic, with the woven scarf through ring designs. I find this one particularly interesting, because this woman is wearing a patterned fabric.
Whereas, as you see above, up until now, most of the higher born Meereenese we've seen are in solids. It does hold with the High Born color palette through, which sticks within the yellow-to-blue range. (The poor wear linen and dirt colors.)
This picture has a few sporting a different look that seems to be in-between the noble Masters and the servant/slave class, with a single brown scarf and slightly thicker tunic.
In all the cast has about 550 local extras.
There are a few off duty Unsullied as well. Osuna is seriously beautiful. Remind me to take my vacation there next year if the show goes back for Season 6. The Mail also provided a video of some of the Palace interiors where Game Of Thrones will be filming.
