Partially Rewritten: 10/22/2018 (I'm in the process of rewriting this story so a lot of the terminology will be changing. Usage of Korean words will be removed in time. I'm also considering creating my own terms in regards to he/she/mother for the carriers.)

.\~* *~/.

Warning: Bullsh*t lore I made up to make this more believable, though it makes no sense, haha. Cursing and reference to death. Also, earlier chapters in this fic have atrocious grammar. The story improves as the chapters continue, thus I'm in the process of rewriting the earlier chapters. If you can stomach the first horribly written chapters this will be a story I hope you'll come to enjoy.

~* *~/.

Centuries ago, this world was like yours; a beautiful planet with an abundant amount of resources. A vast amount that would fuel and feed the earth for generations to come. There was enough resources to go around, to be shared, all that had to be done was to take what was needed, never what was wanted. Nevertheless, it wasn't enough for the greed that drove humanity, for the power to own most of the worlds resources was a ravenous entity. Mankind was stripping the beauty that once was earth, sucking it dry, resources dwindling as they took more than what was necessary.

Soon, the world fell into disarray, the earth unstable, for it was struggling to sustain the ever growing population. However, this did not stop the drive of humanity for they continued to take, not heeding the earths plea, as they dug deeper and deeper into the earth for oil and other rare minerals that could fuel their greed. As far as lore goes, some say the earth released its last layer of defense, for humanity had breached layers of the earth that should have remained intact, thus releasing the means to their own downfall.

For their greed would unleash a Pandemic the world had never seen.

From the crevices of the earth a toxicity of unknown pathogens infiltrated, escaping into the air, spreading through every region of the planet, wreaking havoc as it infected and contaminated everything in its path. The people already on the brink of death where the first to go, followed by the people who had never received vaccinations to prevent the known pathogens. The world had not been prepared for the outbreak for there was no cure to the deadly airborne disease and no time to develop a strain that could possibly work against such an epidemic. Prevention had little effect on the unknown pathogen as it stabilized and strengthened; attacking the immune system of the weak and spreading from them to the healthy.

In a matter of years the outbreak had eliminated half the world's population.

The ones remaining, humans and animals alike, had somehow adapted to the pathogen. Their bodies capable of accepting and integrating the pathogen into their genetic makeup. The epidemic that had drastically reduced their numbers, had also saved them, for the earth had stabilized. Gradually, what was left of the world was rebuilt and improved, for mankind had learned their lesson. They restored what they cultivated from the earth, only taking what was needed. In order to ensure that the earth never resorted to eradication, the leaders of the continents came created the New World Order a board consisting of the most renowned politicians, scientists, botanists, and geologists from all around to serve this purpose.
