I sit by the lake where we met all those weeks ago. It's 6:55 and Kat will be here any second. I really hope she likes it.

I'm lost in my thoughts when I hear foot steps. It's a little dark as the sun is setting and I look up to see Kat. She's in a simple white dress with a belt and her hair is braided to one side. She looks gorgeous.

"What's all of this?" she asks in awe looking at everything I have set up.

I'm sitting by the bank on a picnic blanket covered in rose petals. There are small candles lit up framing the blanket and I'm holding an acoustic guitar.

"Shh" I say shyly before starting to strum the guitar quietly. She sits down across from me silently, intently watching me as I look down in embarrassment before beginning to sing quietly. (Play moments by One Direction if you can)

Shut the door
Turn the light off
I wanna be with you
I wanna feel your love
I wanna lay beside you
I cannot hide this
Even though I try

As my confidence increases I look up to see her dark brown eyes staring back into mine.

Heart beats harder
Time escapes me
Trembling hands
Touch skin
It makes this harder
And the tears stream down my face

I sing directly to her like were the only two people in the world. And right now its as if we are. Just the two of us against the world.

If we could only have this life
For one more day
If we could only turn back time

I'll find the words to say

She looks at me with shining eyes before blushing and looking down.

Close the door
Throw the key
Don't wanna be reminded

Don't wanna be without you
My judgment's clouded
Like tonight's sky

I felt like this song was written for us because every word I sang was true.

Hands are silent
Voice is numb
Try to scream out my lungs
It makes this harder
And the tears stream down my face

She scoots closer to me her head resting on her hand as she stares deeply into my eyes. I take a deep breath watching her listen to me sing. I've sung in front of huge audiences but for some reason I'm more nervous singing to her than in front of thousands of people.

If we could only have this life
For one more day
If we could only turn back time

She nervously plays with her hands before looking back up at me smiling brightly.

Flashing lights in my mind
Going back to the time
Playing games in the street
Kicking balls with my feet

There's a numb in my toes
Standing close to the edge

There's a pile of my clothes
At the end of your bed

As I feel myself fall
Make a joke of it all

She slowly bites her lip before a smile spreads across her face again.

I finish up trailing off before setting aside my guitar and looking deep into her eyes.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" I ask shyly.

"I thought you'd never ask" she replies flinging her arms around my neck. She pulls back a little and her eyes flicker to my lips before looking back at me. I lean in a little and so does she. In an instant our lips meet.

Eventually we pull back and I hear her sigh a little. I touch my forehead to hers tilting our heads down, her arms still around my neck.

"I cant believe you did all of this for me!" she whispers quietly. "This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me"

I wrap my arm around her pulling her into my side as we stare out at the lake. I bury my head in her neck and whisper, " I'd do anything for you". I kiss her neck softly before pulling away and looking at the lake once more. She snuggles her head in my chest and we stay there that way for what seems like forever.
