"Can I tell you a secret?" Kat asks me. We're in my car driving to meet up with some of our friends to go ice skating.

"Anything" I reply glancing at her before returning my eyes to the road.

"I absolutely suck at ice skating" Kat says sighing making me burst out laughing. "It's not funny!" she exclaims.

"Sorry" I say looking back at the road. "Don't worry, I'll help you. I'm pretty much a pro" we laugh again as I pull up to the ice rink.

When we walk in everyone else is already there.

"Took you long enough" Nash says as we walk up to where everyone is waiting.

"Sorry, Jack takes forever to do his makeup!" Kat exclaims making everyone laugh.

We wait in line for awhile and Kat can't hold still. She keeps shifting her weight and playing with her hands, it's actually really cute. I wrap my arms around her waist and kiss her cheek softly.

"Hey, your gonna be fine!" I whisper in her ear. She calms down a little and it's our turn to get skates. We tell them our sizes and wait while they grab the skates.

We sit on a little bench and quickly strap on our skates, well all of us except for Kat.

"Stupid skates" she mumbles under her breath while attempting to tighten the buckles on the straps.

"Here let me" I say gently removing her fingers and tying up her skates for her. By now everyone else is gone and in the rink.

I stand up and reach out my hands. "Come on" I say smirking at her. She places both of her smaller hands in mine and I pull her up.

"Don't give me that look" she says sassily. Her attitude was ruined when she stumbled and nearly fell on her face before I caught her making us both laugh.

"I guess you literally fell for me" I say making us laugh even harder. We make our way slowly to the edge of the rink and Kat stumbles a little less as we continue to walk. Once we get to the edge of the rink though, all of her confidence leaves.

"Um what if we just get hot chocolate instead because this seems like a bad idea and I don't really feel like dying to-" I cut her off with a kiss as she begins to ramble.

"Come on!" I say stepping on to the ice. "I won't let you get hurt" Ever. I hold out my arms and she grasps them tightly. I slowly skate backwards pulling her onto the ice with me.

"See! You're doing fine" I say when she's finally all the way on the ice.

"There are freaking eight year olds here who can skate circles around me!" she exclaims. A little girl no older than six skates quickly past us before jumping up and doing some spin. "See!" Kat exclaims and we both laugh.

"Correction, there are five year olds who can skate circles around you" I reply she slaps my arm but we both laugh.

"Hey!" Shawn says as he and Kennedy skate towards us.

"How are you so good at this?!" Kat exclaims clearly in awe of how easily others can ice skate.

"Canadian remember" Shawn replies jokingly. He grabs Kennedy by the hand and pulls her closer lightly kissing the tip of her nose. We have a short conversation about random stuff as I continue to try an teach Kat how to ice skate.

"We'll talk to you later then" Kennedy says as they turn around and quickly skate off. Shawn does some cool tricks obviously trying to show off for Kennedy and she just laughs and goes along with it.

"Guess it's our turn" I say looking at Kat. I can see the fear in her eyes and feel her hand tighten in mine. "Hey it's okay!" I continue, "Just push and glide" I hold both of her hands gently in mine and start to skate backwards. She starts to follow me stepping instead of gliding. I laugh and she glares at me which only makes me laugh harder.
