[ Continuing on from last part.. ❤ ]

Spinel just blushed a bit more from the pull, still looking the other way. Steven just smiled at her, "It's okay, you don't have to look the other way. I didn't hate it." She turned her head to him eventually, "You didn't?" He nodded as she just smiled and leaned onto him a bit more. After a bit of gazing at the sunset and how it reflected down on the sea and talking to each other, it began to get dark. Steven suggested they go home, and of course, Spinel agreed. He stood up and let out a hand for her to use to get up. She greatfully took it and stood up. They both walked to the Beach House, holding hands. It wasn't long, for the house wasn't that far. Once there, they both got into bed and slowly fell asleep. Steven always waited for Spinel to fall asleep first, because of her paranoia. Afterward, he would close his eyes and fall asleep soon himself.

[ The next day.. ❤❤❤!! ]

Steven had been waiting for this day, and planning. Valentine's Day. The fourteenth. A day where love is shared and given and so many people are happy, unless you don't have a date, I suppose. You'll soon learn why he had waited and planned for this day. He woke up early due to Pearl's call for him downstairs. He came running down, "Yes, Pearl? Is the cake ready?" Pearl nodded, pulling it out of the oven and placing it on the kitchen table. It was chocolate on the inside with a dark violet color coated on it, and an small 3D upside down heart in the middle. It looked like Spinel's gem. The heart was also made of cake batter, but instead of chocolate, it was vanilla. "Spinel may not usually eat, but she'll definitely like this in the very least! I've been practicing," Pearl said with quite an excitement. Steven chuckled as Amethyst came in with small colored flakes of paper, hoping to throw them about. Garnet was just there, glad for Steven, and glad that the kid who seemed like her son might get a date. Steven called for Spinel as he and Pearl stood in front of the cake. Amethyst hid the paper behind her. It wasn't much, but there were already Valentine's decorations hung up from days before, and it doesn't need to be huge! If Spinel loves him, she'll say yes. The decorations don't matter. She slowly came down the stairs. "Yeah, Steven?" When she finally got before him, he smiled, beginning to say what he had been wanting to say for about day one since she came back. "Spinel.. Will you..

..Be my girlfriend?" He asked. Spinel just smiled, putting a hand over her gem. "Yes! Of course! I've loved you the whole time!" He smiled even more, "Really? Me too! I was afraid to tell you but.. Now I feel just too happy!" He hugged Spinel and spinned her around like he did all those days ago. She pecked him on the lips after they stopped spinning. Amethyst threw the paper about, shouting a "yay!" Garnet just clapped, smiling. Pearl clapped, too, but it was more royal. Spinel looked over at the table, "What's that?" She studied it as she got closer. "It's a cake that I made for you! Of course, Steven told me to. He has been planning for this day for some time," Pearl said. Spinel looked at Steven once again, "That's why I love him! He's kind and he loves to help out, and he's not afraid to do the right thing." Steven smiled. Pearl was already cutting a piece of the cake for everyone. She handed a plate to Amethyst and Garnet after serving Spinel. Steven got his piece last. Steven had to show Spinel how to eat it, and after she learned how, she tested it out. Her face lit up with awe, "This is so sweet and good and... I love it!" She continued to eat it. Steven was happy that she was happy. He soon ate his, sitting on the couch with Spinel and Amethyst. Garnet was talking to Pearl as she ate her food, "Are you sure you don't want to try your own creation? It's pretty good." Pearl sighed, "You know me, I don't like eating. It feels incredibly weird." Garnet shrugged, "Alright then, I won't make you." Steven sighed, he'd always remember this day. It was just so lovely and fun. And plus, he finally expressed his feelings to Spinel, and she had the same ones back! It would be hard to forget a day that you finally were at true happiness again.
